The filter is comes with spews grounds into the coffee. LOTS of grounds no matter how much or little coffee I use. Coffee doesn't taste right no matter how much or little I use. I guess if you're going to use expensive pods it will work but I did not buy it to use pods. Filter simply does not work. So sorry I bought this. What a RIP off!

Dislike small water reservoir , no options for cup size .

Works great. Anyone know if I can leave it plugged in? Probably yes, but with cheaper electronics I lack trust. ;)

Sturdy and sleek, doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. Perfect for my morning cup of coffee. Easy to clean!

We have to replace a Flex-brew that stopped working after 4 years (despite a 5-yr warranty). Too bad the brew switch cannot be used to stop brewing. We can't unplug the coffee maker because the plug is hidden beneath the countertop.

What a great little machine. I don't need 10 or 12 cups at a time. A single cup is perfect. Fresh every morning. No K cups to deal with. I like it !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this coffee maker. Once you turn it on and it makes the coffee immediately and its hot. So easy to use. The instruction for usage is easy and can I use the coffee grounds for my garden. No usage of running out of filters because you don't use one. The coffee maker is easy to use on the kitchen counter doesn't use a lot of space.

Works well, coffee comes out hot. I think it’ll be helpful to have an extra scoop, but otherwise no complaints

At my office, they have a shared coffee pod maker in the break area, but I've always liked coffee made from fresh coffee grounds. I also like other hot beverages, like hot tea and hot chocolate. I wanted to try out my favorite decaffeinated coffee the first morning. I ran some water through as the instructions said to do for the first use. I then put more water into the reservoir, added a filter to the filter well, put the grounds in the top of the coffee maker and my favorite cup (already with my sweetener and creamer added) in the cup rest. The adjustable rest was nice, since I could fit my big cup in easily (see the attached picture), or switch over to a smaller cup if I don't want as much. I pushed the button to start brewing. After a few minutes, I had a perfect cup of coffee! The next day, I felt like a cup of hot tea. I rinsed out the filter well, added some water to the reservoir, then my cup for hot water. I pushed the button, got my hot water, and made my tea. It didn't heat the water as quickly as the hot water pot I have at home, but I can't fault this coffee maker for that, since hot water is just a side benefit!

Hamilton Beach The Scoop Single-Serve Coffee Maker comes with a permanent filter that doubles as a single scoop. It has a large brew button also. Just press and brew and that's it. It's that easy. The best part, you get an amazing cup of coffee in minutes. Highly recommended.

It’s very easy to fill the water and the scoop for the coffee grounds. The start button is large so very easy to see. I couldn’t give it 5 stars because the cleanup of the scoop was a bit of a challenge.

I like buying whole beans and grinding my own, so it's really nice to be able to get back to this. I like that I can make a small brew as opposed to a whole pot. This has been a convenient machine to make my small cup for the drive to work

Brews at a very good temp, strength adjustable via amount of grounds, small footprint and easy clean. What more could I ask? Originally got as a back-up but am sincerely thinking I will swap it out to be my primary cofee maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker is very easy to use and makes a good cup of coffee. I found the machine to be light weight and it uses up very little space on your countertop. It’s very simple with one button on top to start the brewing process and a water reservoir in the back for each cup of water as you go. I liked that I had the option of a coffee mug or a travel mug with just a flip of the attached tray. You do have to wait 2 minutes between brewing cups of coffee though which is only a mild irritant. When you pour the water into the back while the machine is plugged it it will make a bubbling noise that is quite startling each time. I found that once I unplugged the machine and then poured the water in it, it didn’t make that noise. The handy scoop/filter for coffee grounds is great and much cleaner for the environment and landfills as you will not be using those pods each time and then tossing them in the garbage. I did use a spoon to add coffee grounds to the scoop/filter on my second cup as it was wet and would get all the grounds in the bag wet if I put it in the bag. Overall, this is a simple, cost effective, great little coffee maker great for small spaces, tiny homes or even RV’s.

They are pricey and with this Scoop single serve coffee maker you only need your favorite ground coffee.You can decide how strong you want your coffee and if you want 8 or 14 ounces. I love that it has a flip down cup tray for smaller cups. I really like the grounds catcher so you do not have grounds in your cup. This a great single cup coffee maker that will save you money

Not sure how well the mesh basket will hold up, however seems to be well made. Definitely more affordable than the cups. I had quite a few left over cups, and I just opened them and dumped one in. Worked just fine for me!
