Q: Does the 12-cup side use coffee filters?
A: Thank you for your question. The appliance will use 8-12 cup basket style filters.

Q: does this use Senseo Coffee Pods? or Keurig cogffee pods as they are totally different
A: Thank you for your question. The appliance will use coffee pods similar to the Senseo brand.

Q: is the single serve side auto start?
A: Unless something has changed recently, you can use the program feature for a single serve cup. Just make sure the brew toggle on the front is flipped to the left/single side.

Q: Are there filters to filt the single serve side?
A: No paper filters, but the included reusable filter cup works great. We've used ours daily for years.

Q: can the single serve side be on a timer at the same time as the carafe side?
A: Unless something has changed recently, you can use the program feature for single serve, but not at the same time as the carafe. Make sure the brew toggle on the front is flipped to the correct side.

Q: If I want to make decaf for me with a single serving and regular coffee for my husband in the large carafe will we be able to brew both without shutting the burner off for the large carafe?
A: Thank you for your question. When using this Hamilton Beach 12-Cup and Single Cup Coffee Maker, you are not able to use both sides simultaneously. We recommend that the single serve side is used first to not interrupt keep warm setting for the carafe side.
