The hex bug junk bots are fantastic toys. The surprise and unboxing is fun and the toys themselves are open ended. Lots of ways to play and rebuild. The attention to detail in these junkbots is impressive. My kid loves them.

My 6 year old bought this toy with his report card money. He even said it was junk. The figure wouldn’t stay together. Pieces were missing from the build. We returned it.
Mostly cardboard, missing tons of parts

my child LOVES junk bots, and was super excited to see this under the tree! it was one of his cheaper gifts as I got it at half off, but it was one of his favorite....until we opened it. the "10 levels of unboxing" is extremely misleading. it has hidden parts in one small box and a hidden "oobit" (Plastic bug) in another. the set up of the box to look like a shop is really cool, but levels 4-8 were "build these robots 1-4", and we were missing the majority of the parts it showed in the instructions for EVERY SINGLE ONE. yes, I opened everything that can be opened and looked everywhere. our set was still sealed in plastic from the factory so it doesn't wasn't tampered with. I wish we could return it honestly, but it's just a cardboard box with 50 little plastic pieces once you open it. I hope this doesn't become a common theme with this company.
Fun But Too Pricey and Small Pieces

Hear me correctly, first and foremost, my 7 year old son loved this toy. My issue as the parent is the poor quality of the item and the infinite amount of tiny pieces I'm forever vacuuming up and feeling like I'm crushing my son's spirit as I do so because they are dang-near impossible to see in the carpet. It is also important to note that the cardboard packaging that you see on the box is, literally THEE TOY itself, please be careful when you open it not to tear or you will damage it. All in all, they could have made a better-quality item, or at least lowered the price to reflect the fact that I'm buying cardboard and tiny, miserable, but well-enjoyed plastic pieces.
