I finally got a chance to try out my new 4 Armed Helping Hands tool, and it was the perfect thing to help me with my jewelry crafting.The fact that there are plastic caps on this means that it holds FIRMLY while doing no damage to metal, beads or fimo. Love this, would highly recommend it for anyone who needs an adjustable, versatile extra set of hands!

I used it and will continue to use it to hold the small parts of an electric guitars electronics so I can solder the wiring. It worked very well for this application. The only thing that might improve it would be to add a couple of adjustable clamps that would attach to the arms in the same way as the alligator clips do. This way you could adjust the holding pressure to hold larger parts better. Otherwise It is just fine for my use.

I have always loved to craft. 7 years ago I became a quadriplegic. Prior to that I was left handed. Now my left side is paralyzed and my right side doesnt work fu lly either. With the help of this ingenious apparatus, I am finally able to get back to what I love the most and that is crafting.

This tool is what Ive always needed but never had. Two clips are OK for most jobs but, for some, the third and fourthones are necessary. Its weight keeps it in place, the arms can be positioned precisely, they dont move unless you make them move, and once you use this, youll NEVER go back to what you had before. Highly recommended!

I am a cheapskate and always try to get by while saving a buck. I dont know what it was about this item. Maybe it was the cool Dr. Octopus arms along with the yellow table... Whatever it was. I am so glad I spent the extra money and bought this one instead of similar items with a lower price. This is high quality and comes with extra pieces.The table is made of 1/8th inch steeland has a good weight to it. The arms are strong and durable. The clamps have great grip strength and are of similar high quality. It comes with rubber tips to not damage items you clamp down on. They also give an extra arm and two extra clamps w/ tips. If you are feeling like you need to add the extra 5th arm on you can.There are two more holes in the base plate and all you need to do is get the proper screw. I cant recommend this item enough.Dont be a cheapskate like me and spend the extra money on this item, its worth it!

I used to have one of the cheap helping hands on a small heavy/lead base with a magnifying glass and two alligator clips.One of the clips finally broke off so I figured it was time to replace it.When soldering wires, its a huge pain (for me anyway) if Ive got nothing to hold them in place.Ive used this thing a couple times and I gotta say I love it.The base is just about the perfect size, and with four arms with clips, I can position just about anything I want.Ive done a circuit board (two clips holding the board, then a wire in each of the other clips), a long with a few wires so far.The arms are just about the perfect sturdiness, and it made soldering, wires especially, so much easier. Ill say the base is kinda big for storage, but Ive just got my soldering stuff sitting on top of it along with some DIY lithium battery stuff when not in use and sitting on a shelf.If you solder wires at all, I highly recommend this thing.

This was simple to quickly assemble with quality parts.It has a heavy, solid base which makes it quite sturdy.There was no glue on mine and it was painted just fine (other reviews complained of this); I have no idea what happened in the review complaining about the arms not staying in place - again, they work just fine.Well done and an excellent value.

Everyone buys the 5 dollar helping hands once. Once. This is a significant upgrade. The base isnt that big, maybe a little bigger than a DVD case. It is relatively heavy but it can shift around if you press on it, albeit with a little bit of force. Its definitely a huge upgrade and makes any soldering job much, much easier.

Better than I expected.The base is heavy and the clips are good and very adjustable. The yellow spray used on the base was very thinly applied, its very close to being not enough paint, but other than that its a great unit.

The clips on my current helping hands kept dislodging from the post. In search of replacement clips, I came across this product. Well worth the few dollars more. I solder rather small wires for my Model railroad hobby. The extra two clamps help me to hold not only the components I am soldering, but the shell of my loco that has LEDs attached.
