Listen, I almost NEVER write reviews, but I am today in hopes that if enough of us say something than maybe the formula will change back. I have been using this eyeliner for at least 10-15 years. It has been my favorite everyday eyeliner and I have tried a lot of them! Nothing ever compares. I go through at least 1 every few weeks and always have extras on hand. With that said... Something changed with the formula over the last year or so. They can say that nothing changed, but I wear this eyeliner every single day and I can promise that something has changed. I have seen hundreds of comments saying the same thing. My sisters (who also use this eyeliner) agree as well that the formula now is more dry and it cracks and flakes off constantly. I feel like I always get pieces in my eye or below my eye and it doesn't stay looking nice for long at all. I am constantly reapplying to fill in flake gaps. It is thicker and stickier, but my biggest issue by far is the flaking. Please bring back the old version. So many people were happy with that formula. I am now looking for a dupe and I don't want to be. And maybe it's not your formula, but instead an ingredient changed... I don't know... Something is different though and not in a good way. This is coming from one of your best customers and referrals. At least compare the new one with an old packaged one and you can absolutely tell that the wear is different.

I was hopeful that I would like this eyeliner but it was really bad quality.

Like other reviews I just came across, I have been using this eyeliner for ten years with no problems. I recently bought a new one and it had a horrifically strong chemical smell, was very sticky, and after trying to wear it a couple of times, the corners of my eyes became extremely irritated and still are. The dermatologist had to give me something to hopefully alleviate it. They must’ve changed the formula and I’m quite devastated as this was my favorite product. Be careful using if you have sensitive skin.

Doesn’t wash off! Ive been using this eye liner since high school and foe some reason this new one i just bought doesnt wash off with makeup remover.

I have been wearing this eyeliner since I was 14. It’s the first liquid eyeliner I learned to put on and loved it. I am now 40. It’s is the ONLY eyeliner I’ve ever liked and I’ve tried high end brands. I am so disappointed that it has changed. I no longer wear eyeliner. Every brand now makes eyeliner that sticks to your eyelid.

I have been using this same eye liner for maybe 10 years. A LONG time! I bought a new one and suddenly my eyelid is sticking to my eye socket! I thought I'd bought a 'bad' one. So I bought another, and then another and got lucky on the 3rd attempt - but I must have purchased the old formula, by luck, because since then every one I've tried has been the same - my eyelids stick to my eye socket and the eyeliner smudges big time. I am very disappointed. I've tried many other brands too now and all do the same, I am not sure what is going on. Why would L'Oreal change a formula that was GREAT and replace it with a terrible formula?

I’ve tried so many different type of liquid liners with and without felt tips, this one just works. The tip is flexible enough for me to get natural curved lines on my lid without struggling or pulling on my skin. Even on days I’m using my oilier or heavier moisturizers and creams, without prepping my lid in any other way, the product stays on all day without smearing or flaking. It washes away cleanly at the end of the day. It doesn’t irritate my eyes when I’m wearing contacts. Carbon black color is beautiful and striking. I’ve received so many compliments on my eyeliner when I use this product. It does tend to get dried out in the bottle more quickly than I would like it too, however, I’ll take that over a change in formulation. I love this formula and applicator!

The amount of liquid eyeliner in the container has significantly been reduced! There’s like nothing in there!

The pigment is good and stays in place, but it’s hard to remove (I use burts bees makeup wipes) and tends to flake off. The tip also dulls quickly, making it hard to get a sharp wing.

I second the review by “Lizzy” posted a month ago. I thought at first that I bought the wrong eyeliner, because it was sticky and smudged well after the application. I went to another store 3 weeks later to grab a new one and the same happened!! The formula is AWFUL. I have never had a problem and this used to hands down MY FAV. I too, will need to find a new brand. Bring back the original formula - the company is going to realize soon. SMH.

PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!!!! NEW FORMULA IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Ive used this specific eyeliner for over a decade. It was my one and only eyeliner and I literally never used another brand. However, L'Oréal MUST HAVE CHANGED THE FORMULA. Its literally the worst now as it smudges badly after it has dried and has a sticky feel as well (again, the stickiness is AFTER it has fully dried). I have oily eyelids but it has never been a problem, until now. DO NOT BUY as it'll be a waste of your money. I'm honestly so sad because now I need to find another brand and test them all out now. L'Oréal, please change your formula back to the old one. Corporate, if you actually read reviews, pull metrics on sales for this and if you notice a decline in sales, it’s because of the updated formula. Please change it back and let customers know once you do.

Looks good to start but smudged like CRAZY. I looked like I was wearing a smoky eye by the end of the night, with some eyeliner even making it up right below my brow. So bad!

This is not it. It did not glide on smooth. Looked like I used crayon to line my eyes :-(
