Description
1st ever Magic Precision Brush targets pesky, scattered grays to touch up roots in a flash. The unique Magic Precision Brush allows easy, smooth application to cover even the peskiest on any hair type or texture. 3,2,1…Grays gone! To cover larger areas of gray roots, try L'Oreal Paris Magic Root Cover Up temporary spray.
1. Rotate bottom of concealer counterclockwise until a small amount of color is dispensed. 1st use may require 20+ full rotations. TIP: Blot brush on tissue to evenly distribute product throughout bristles.
2. Gently pulling hair away from the scalp, use light strokes to build and blend color over grays. TIP: if product gets on scalp, blend with a tissue.
3. Let it dry for 1 minute. Done!

Q: I have jet black hair and cannot find this pen in black color anywhere, would the dark brown be too noticeable on black hair?

A: Hi there Tessk, Unfortunately, the Magic Root Precision Temporary Hair Color Concealer pen is no longer available in the black color. The dark brown will cover the gray, but the result will be slightly lighter than the rest of the hair. If its just a small amount of hair, the contrast won't be very noticeable. Otherwise, use the MAGIC ROOT Cover Up Spray in the Black instead.

I agree with other reviewers that this product is not for larger areas. I use AGEbeautiful’s Root Touch-Up for that. However, this is the best I’ve found for precision application. I use it for the baby hairs and roots around my face and at the front of my part. If you follow the directions and lift your hair as you’re applying it, it actually helps to give your hair “lift” instead of matting it down. Like all other temporary cover-up products, it will rub off on anything it comes in contact with, so you just need to be mindful. Also, when you first start using it, you need to twist for a while before the product will push through the bristles.
Lighter colors please because I want to use this

I love this product for concealing grays between hair color appointments! Compared to other products I’ve used, this one is easy to apply on the grays with the wand that is provided. The coverage looks natural. I use dark brown.

I don’t usually do a recipe unless it’s really bad or really good. And in this case I’m so pleased and impressed by this. I was skeptical at first especially from the reviews but yes. Yes! It works great and I used this along with the spray. The spray is very fast and strong so I used it for the top of my hair but used the concealer stick for the front and baby hairs. I didn’t trust using the strong spray near my face or eyes. It’s definitely great

This product if perfect if you just have a few scattered grays that you want covered. I wouldn’t recommend it for covering roots as it would take too long and use too much product. I love it for the purpose of using it to cover sporadic and patchy grays, and it lasts until the next shampoo.

I love this product because my brown highlighted hair is greying in some spots, and I don't want to 100% cover up all the grey, but just some of it. (My salon colorist just wants to color all my grey hairs brown.). This brush lets me play around and experiment with where I want the darks/browns vs the grey or the highlights. It partially lasts through several washes which was a plus for me. I took off one star because the medium brown color is very dark, and you don't offer any lighter colors. I wish you had a light brown and a dark blonde shade too. I don't think any other company makes a product like this, a temporary color that doesn't need to be mixed and can be delicately applied.

I like the coverage but I will not buy again. I bought this one and the older version. Unfortunately both were super tricky and messy. Both versions ruined my clothes and my floor and counter tops in my bathroom were full of color. Not sure why they failed to add a warning to cover everything prior to use. Please consider my review and buy something else. I ended up getting a Chinese color stick that works with less mess to clean up. Who has time for this!

Don’t get this on your clothes or on a white sink it stains. Instantly I bought two different ones and the nozzles were broke on both. Other than that it does what it says just a little messy.

I have struggled trying to find a root touch up stick that matches my medium brown roots. Gray Away is either too dark to too light. This is as close to my natural color as I've found, and it stays longer than a powder touch up. I have tried root touch up sprays, but they are very messy and I can't be as exact with placement as I can be with this stick (which is important around the hairline). The first time using it, you do have to rotate the bottom a lot to push the color out, but after that, I only need about 4 - 6 clicks for each application.

Forget the negative reviews. This stuff is amazing it blends in perfectly for in between hair dyes. I usually use Madison Reed hair dye and the dark brown of this touchup colour is cheaper than their powder and if I put it on in between washes it stays put. Plus I have some hair thinning and it makes that area look a little fuller.
