[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the kids in my class are three and loved the fun colors of these. They liked pretending to fly but did not use them like counting bears or for educational purposes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this for free in exchange for our honest review. After adding these counters to our daily math lessons my kids have been much more focused and interested in addition and subtraction. They love that they get to play with bugs! We will definitely be looking for more products from this company!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We found many uses for these little critters. The different colors and bug types make it easy to switch learning gears and practice colors and differences as well as counting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that there are many uses for the bugs. They can be counted, sorted by color and also sorted by type! The bugs are soft for little hands and provide an engaging texture but aren't sticky or gummy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bug counters are similar to the colored bear counters I used in school. My 5 year old gets so excited when I get these out to play. She will sort them by color and type of bug. Each color has 12 bugs and that's perfect for her to count to. She has been able to make patterns with these bugs. There is so many educational activities to do with them but it doesn't feel like learning. These are something I will keep for life. Very well made.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the container arrived, my little guy (5 years old) was intrigued. A jar full of colorful plastic bugs? Interesting. However, once he dumped them out, I noticed his interest start to drop. I think this is a toy that benefits from guiding- from a family member or educator. I showed him different ways to play with them- from organizing by color to organizing by bug type, and even simple math (ie 2 + 3 bugs= 5 bugs). Visual cues are helpful for learning math at this age. I noticed later that day he was engaging in creative, independent play by pretending the bugs were flying around and interacting with them. Good stuff.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The backyard but counters have been a great manipulative to use with my toddler and kindergartener at home. They are great for counting, addition, subtraction, sorting by color and type, comparing and contrasting, etc. I've been able to come up with so many ways to use them. Especially in light of home learning this year, I'm very happy to have these to use along with our lessons. They are easy to hold and the colors are vibrant. They also look to be very durable and should last for a very long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 5 and 3 year old and they both enjoy playing with the bugs. My 4 year old uses them to count and together they both make up little games to play with them. They are great to take outside and play in the dirt with as well as using them indoors. Endless fun!
Fun for indoor activities too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been raining most days and so we play indoors. She likes to play with them in several ways like right now we are hiding them and having another person find them all 😁.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this Learning Resource as part of a campaign through bzzagent. My 4 year old could immediately tell it was for her because of the box it came in. She couldn't wait to open it and play with her "bugs". These are brightly colored, and seem pretty durable. She's been sorting colors, counting, and naming the insect types since it arrived this morning. This product is great for a preschooler, and I look forward to other products from this company.

My daycare kids and I love these bugs! I added to the set that I bought 10 years ago (they really stand up to the test of lost of little hands!) because we have been doing so much more with them lately - matching, counting, patterns... I would highly recommend these Backyard Bugs
