A: The Classic 300S has an installed water filter sponge that is optional and helps catch minerals from hard water. Please note that as substances in the water oxidize, it is normal to observe some discoloration. The filter can last up to a year, depending on the water quality and how often the humidifier is used. You can soak the filter in distilled white vinegar and then rinse it under warm water to clean it; or, you can opt to leave it out altogether.

A: Yes, you can press and hold the night light button for 3 seconds to turn the display and the night light off. You can also put the unit on Sleep Mode as this mode will also turn off the display lights.

A: Yes, if there is not enough water in the tank, the humidifier will stop misting, the No Water Indicator will flash 10 times, and the humidifier will turn off.

The unit leaks water after a few months of operation. This is my second unit and both have lasted less than 3 months. Additionally, these are not easy to clean

I rarely write reviews, but I love love love this humidifier! It is easy to fill, quiet, has no lights during sleep mode, and it is so convenient to turn off and on in my daughter’s room via wifi. The only minor things that aren’t optimal are that the humidity sensor registers higher humidity if you move the unit around with water in it, preventing it from kicking on in auto mode (like it will say 60% humidity for a couple hours when it’s actually 30%), and that it is hard to clean inside the area where the mist comes out. Otherwise, it is absolutely fabulous.

Does what it says on the tin. Had mine for over a year and it's still going strong. Like all humidifiers I've tried, there are enough nooks and crannies inside that cleaning out the pink stuff is a chore. I pray one day to discover one that is easy to clean. The smart features and app work just fine, but mostly go unused. It is nice to be able to turn of the front screen without getting out of bed though. But mostly I just want to set it and forget it so I always leave it on auto mode at my desired %. Having auto mode paired with a built in humidity sensor is definitely great. If I could just adjust the % from the front of the device instead of an app, this would be 4 stars, and if it was easy to clean, it'd be 5!

I purchased this humidifier after my very excellent Air-O-Swiss 7144 didn't operate when I plugged it in this fall. I've had the unit for about 12 years. I've been using humidifiers of various types for 30 years or more & I always use distilled water only, & never use the heat option. I find this Levoit to be acceptable, although it is not as customizable as the AOS. I have just read that the flexibility I'm looking for may be available through the VeSync app, which I will begin using. While the unit is relatively quiet, the noise is noticeable to a person with sensitive hearing. I like the top-filling feature, although removing the lid to refill it leads to water from the underside dripping during removal, a relatively minor inconvenience, but, I think, worth mentioning.

You are able to control the humidity level which means you can be comfortable. The night light is bright enough so you can see, but not bright enough to keep you awake. It is so easy to understand the instructions and to operate. I haven't had any leaks yet. Thinking about buying another one for the second floor.

I enjoyed it for a while, but about 7 months in, it started leaking if I put any water in the top. Until I was able to get a new one, I had to sneak into my baby's room at night to keep refilling the base since I couldn't put any water in the top tank. Its sensor also seemed to start having some issues, because on the auto setting, it would turn on, but within minutes turn back off after falsly registering a jump of 20%+. Pretty disappointing considering the price tag - I was definitely hoping it would last a while.

This humidifier was easy to use and I was breathing comfortably within minutes. The programming features are great to help me plan for when I want the humidifier will turn on and off for me.

I've used this humidifier for about 3 months now and I can say that I regret buying it. It's impossible to keep clean and other cheaper humidifiers do a better job dispersing the vapor. I would not buy this again.
