Q: My hardwood floors get very dusty. Is it best to use this mop WET or to use it DRY to pick up the most dust ?

A: I use this dry to get all dirt and debris first, then follow up with a different mop (a flat pad one) that sprays product and wipes floors clean. Hope this helps!
submitted bylizbeegee - 6 years agoA: No, you should not use it wet, this is a dry product that works like a broom not a mop. However, it gets the dirt and dust up much better than a broom. Some stays in the pad but most you will need to pick up with a dustpan and brush. Then you use the comb to comb the dirt dust and hair that stays in the pad into the trash can. It is best to hold the head over the trashcan when you do this. The pad looks really dirty but after combing it is amazing the amount of the dirt that is loose and goes into the trashcan and the broom is ready for use again.

A: The mop does attract dirt, dust, and pet hair. It is important to note that you still have to sweep with a regular broom. Typically you sweep first and then dust mop afterwards to pick up smaller particles of dust and hair that you may have missed sweeping.

This is the best cleaning tool I’ve ever used! I recently moved into a house with luxury vinyl flooring and I quickly discovered that this does a much better job of picking up pet hair than a standard bristle broom. A quick tip: I use a hand vacuum to suck up the dust pile and vacuum the mop head itself instead of a messing with dust pan which takes longer.

I don't understand this dust mop at all, it picked up absolutely nothing, I ended up having to grab a vacuum to pick up the pile it made, it had dust flying everywhere. Being the top of the line dust mop, I was expecting a much better cleaning job. Or to clean at all

This is a great time saver. I just remove the microfiber mop from the handle and shake it out every few passes. It is wide enough to dust the entire floor in no time at all. Great for quick and easy dirt pickup in between vacuuming.

I usually love this brand but I have to say I’m super disappointed with this mop. The mechanism just isn’t right. The clip on the top of the mop that allows you to open the mop to secure the mop pad always come loose when I’m moping and there simply no way to fix it. Which makes this mope super annoying to use and a complete waste of money.

Seemed to just push dirt around, didn't seem to pick it up. I looked at the mop head after I dry-mopped, and didn't see anything on it. I did see a small dirt pile on the floor where I stopped mopping. I used it on ceramic tile and vinyl floor.
