Does not go up and down , arm does not reach the pin

I bought this a few months ago and assembled it recently. It's a good hoop. There were some challenges with assembly, but between the instructions and the videos, it's not that bad. Pouring the sand inside the base is a pain. You need a big funnel. I made one by rolling up some carboard boxes and holding it together with tape. I had to put about 100 lbs. in before I could safely put the hoop upright. Then I filled it with more. It does wobble around a bit when you hit the backboard with the ball, but I think that's expected with something not in-ground and with a 3-piece pole. The height adjustment arm is nice and smooth.

Was in the middle of assembling the basketball hoop, and during one of the more difficult steps I realized one of the important parts was missing. Now I have a half built hoop just laying outside… not acceptable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this hoop for almost 2 months. While it takes some time to put together, It is well worth the investment. It is solid, well-made, and holds up well to the rigors of neighborhood play.

I love the basketball hoop, but the instructions to put it together were challenging because none of the parts were actually labeled to match the instructions.

Easiest parts order in my life!

Some parts came off our basketball hoop. I called customer service and they were very friendly and helpful. Parts arrived a couple of days later.

Made a mistake during assembly, required replacing three substantial parts (semi-enormous, heavy, bulky). ZipBamBoom, not only were they on their way but they arrived in half the time allotted. Service over the phone was excellent and efficient.

I bought it in November, but I only made time to assemble it this month. First impressions, assembly was not easy given that I didn't have the proper tools nor assistance. I was mainly me. I had to drag my wife in helping me in 2 sections of the assembly - a) wheels on the base and b) attaching the backboard to the pole. And one the video, a drill gun was used.... I had to work with my wrenches. It was a blessing I got all sizes. But looking at the hoop after that was all said and done, and after filing up the base with water (almost to the brim), I have a basketball hoop of my own. All hard work paid off. I do have to make sure to tighten up the screws from time to time and grease up the needed parts. Overall, very good product. highly recommended.

I expected to have a difficult time with assembly due to some reviews stating the instructions were not very good and difficult. I completely disagree. Lifetime has done an excellent job providing detailed step by step instructions in print and via an app. There is also a YouTube video. I used all three for reference and cannot understand how anyone could complain about them. Unfortunately, I made an irreversible error during assembly which was my fault completely. You must pay attention to every detail including the orientation of all parts. Despite my error, I give Lifetime a score of 10 for instructions on a scale of 1 to 10. I contacted customer service. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and congenial. After a few questions to make sure they understood the nature of my problem that arranged to ship the specific items I needed to correct my mistake at no charge to me. I wish I could remember the name of the customer service agent to make Lifetime aware of how well he represents their company. He went above and beyond to help me. I rate him a 10+

My neighbor had given me his Lifetime Basketball Hoop so I could play with my 6 year old grandson and his dad. The gas shock turned out to be bad. Bridger responded to my email asking where I could buy a new gas shock. He immediately sent me, for free, the replacementbshock. Thank you Bridger and Lifetime.

This hoop seems to be great quality however even with professional help we have been unable to put it together. First day of assembly took 5 hours. Requires another day. Pieces are missing from YouTube video instructions and items do not line up. We asked Lifetime to overnight some missing pieces. FedEx was delayed and did not deliver in time for the 2nd try to assemble the hoop a week later. Assembly is costing more than the net!

It was relatively easy to assemble by following the instructions. We filled the base with water rather than sand and it’s been very stable even though storms. The adjustable height is a great feature and the locking mechanism works really well. After a few months use the hoop broke at the lower weld but Lifetime sent me a replacement, no problems. I would highly recommend.

I bought my lifetime portable basketball rig probably close to ten years ago, and any part thst needed to be replaced, because of lots of use, was sent to my home at no cost! The service on my hoop set has been incredible! The customer service is unmatched!

I purchased this Bball system a few months ago and it arrived with a small crack in the base. I called in and was very satisfied with the prompt service and how quickly a replacement part was sent out, no questions asked or even pictures required to prove the faulty part. Overall very happy the quality of the product. Appreciate the support.

While building it, I made the mistake of tightening the screws to hard while attaching the rim to the backboard and popped both in half! I called up customer service this morning, and they were very helpful with locating the right parts and getting the replacement set up on it way. I really appreciate the service from Lifetime and look forward to playing some ball soon.
