Litter Genie Eco Jumbo Refill Compostable Cats Litter Waste Disposal Bags

This product did not last 90 days and, presumably due to the eco friendly material, the smell was not contained at all. I like the larger size option, but that’s it. Do not recommend.

This is terrible! I have been using the regular refills for years and they work so well to control odor. Buy this eco version doesn’t control odor at all and when I changed it there were several tears.

I have used litter Genie and the target generic for a while, and so I was happy to try the eco. I am on my 3rd pack and I have noticed that these have holes. Not even after use; the bag comes out of the container this way. Then I have to waste more plastic to move past the hole.

Works great. No odor escapes and it’s compostable.

I’ve been using 2 litter genies for several years. These new bag must be more permeable as the odor of his contents comes right through.

I very much appreciate that they are compostable and will break down after some time, I try to buy eco-friendly products whenever I am able to. They seem to perform just as well as the standard bags. I have not had any issues at all with the bags ripping during use. This Jumbo refill fits into my standard sized Litter Genie perfectly and it's just as easy to use as the standard refills, and the odor control is 100%, I don't notice any odor at all coming from the pail. I love the Litter Genie system and I will absolutely continue to purchase and use the Jumbo refills. I very much recommend them! It was very easy to load into my Litter Genie. I used it multiple times per day and had zero odors. The best part for me was being able to toss the bags out knowing the plastic wouldn’t sit around in landfills forever. Especially since I also use eco-friendly litter.

I was already a little genie user, but was interested in trying out a more environmentally friendly version of the bags. I felt that overall, the bags seemed more sturdy than the regular refills. I have had issues with the regular ones ripping in the past, but these cut easily and had no issues with tearing when I tied the ends. I have been using the refill for two weeks now & I have not experienced any odors coming from the genie. It keeps everything contained & I only have to change it out about once a week for one cat which is one of my favorite features. I really appreciated the fact that these bags are compostable so I will not be adding to the already full garbage dumps. I use compostable litter already, so this was a great addition. Overall, I would buy this version over the regular one for its durability & environmental impact.

Biggest bonus is that they are 28 ft long so it lasts much longer before I need to think about replacing it. The odor control for me was still the same, however the bags do seem a bit thinner. I did not have any issues with them ripping or holding the litter still, but I would be cautious to not overfill or let the bag catch on something sharp. Overall, I love that the bags are compostable. So I feel like I’m doing my part to help with the landfills by being more concious.

I actually really like this refill as the film is less rigid and was easier to manipulate into the genie base. Due to this flexibility it does make me more cautious not to cram any of the litter inside or overstuff. I like the environmental thoughtfulness that went into the design and the fact that it has more product so I don’t have to buy as often. As a multiple cat household, we are big fans of the Litter Genie and the eco refill bags. The refills are fantastic because they, of course, fit perfectly in the Litter Genie, and they work on continuous loop, which helps to contain the waste and odors amazingly well. The refill is so easy to install and the material is nice and sturdy. I have not had it rip once and I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. When it’s time to change out the bag it’s super easy and convenient. You just tie off both ends and keep on going, no mess, no spills, no odor. It’s honestly such a great life hack instead of having to use trash bags or any other kind of bag. The Litter Genie Eco Jumbo refills keep everything tidy. One refill has lasted us over a month, which is amazing for 5 cats. The best part too is that they are compostable, which helps to lessen the burden on our ecosystem over time. The jumbo rolls are definitely more cost effective as well, allowing us to use the same roll longer as well as being environmentally aware! Win win! Already being a owner of the litter genie, I am obviously familiar with the system. I absolutely love this new refill and the fact that it lasts longer and on top of that is made from compostable film. I love that they are using this technology and trying to help the environment and being more sustainable. I feel it was just as easy to install this one as the other ones, but even if your new it has great instructions on the packaging. It holds up just as good and is easy to remove. I definitely recommend getting this vs a standard one and it is compatible with a couple genies.

This Litter Genie Eco Jumbo refill works the same as the original litter genie refill except that the bag is compostable and uses 35% less plastic per cartridge. Which is great for the environment! However, I keep the litter box in the laundry room and I definitely notice the difference in odor control. The Eco refills do not control odor well. I will be going back to the original Litter Genie Jumbo refill.

I was a little nervous to begin but they popped right into the Litter Genie without a problem and I tied off the ends using the same method I use with the standard bags (tip: zip-ties save space). Come the first change-out was where I was the most nervous... I didn't want a bathroom full of cat waste, but the bag held to my expectations and I was able to switch it out just like I normally would. To provide some reference, I usually have something like 20 POUNDS of waste in my genie when I switch it out. I have 4 cats so that thing pulls double duty. The bags have held every time. I'm super glad I got to try these, they work just as well as the regular but they're eco-friendly which makes me feel better about the bags overall! Immediately upon taking it out of the box you can see that the Jumbo refill is almost double the size of the regular refill so it is evident that it will definitely last longer. As for installing and using the product, it works exactly the same as the regular refill so it was super quick and easy to use. Sometimes I have issues with getting the beginning end of the bag with the regular refills and end up pulling out way too much trying to find it. With the jumbo refill, the start of the bag was right at the top and visible to grab. This may sound silly to say but I’m excited that this product is advertised to last a few months in between changing the refill because I hate opening the little latch to change them. I would buy it again just for that fact. The compostable bags feel like they will hold up well and anything extra that is better for the economy is a big win in my book. I have 2 cats, just as a reference, and would definitely recommend this product to anyone who uses a littler genie.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For reference: we have one fully indoor cat + scoop litter as soon as we notice it was used. When I first started using the litter genie there was a bit of a learning curve as the images on the side of the refills aren’t the most clear. But once you use a new refill once or twice it is a super easy process! And it definitely makes keeping the litter box clean (and keeping the room your litter box is in stink-free) so much easier. As far as smell and how they’ve held up, I haven’t noticed any smells coming from the litter genie or the compostable bags. We also haven’t had any issues with tearing bags. My favorite thing about these bags has to be that they are compostable!
