A: It looks like the same refill works in both.
submitted bySKCnVA - 8 years agoA: I am answering my own question because I called the company that makes the Litter Genie and Litter Genie Plus today and they clarified that the standard refill DOES work with the Litter Genie Plus. The standard size refill is the refill consumers are supposed to buy for their Litter Genie Plus after the one it comes with runs out. (They don't sell refills made just for the Litter Genie Plus.)

Q: Does this refill fit the Litter Champ container? I can't find the refills in my local pet store. I didn't buy the container here where I now live so that presents a problem.

A: Litter Genie Refills are designed to fit Litter Genie Pails. Litter Genie Jumbo standard refills fit Litter Genie Standard, Plus and XL Pails. Litter Genie Jumbo refills fit Litter Genie XL+ and Litter Genie Standard and Plus Pails and Litter Genie Easy Roll refills are specifically designed to fit the Litter Genie Easy Roll.

Q: Does anyone know if this fits the PET Genie? ie what looks like the same thing but is meant for dog p**p (I love that Target thinks that word is "inappropriate")... and is no longer sold - at least under that name.

Couldn't be happier with the new Jumbo Refill for my Litter Genie. With twice the length of film as the Standard Refill, that means fewer trips to the store for me and less plastic in the landfill for the planet (and zero difference for your furry friend), without sacrificing any of the odor locking benefits that the compostable version does--now that's a compromise I'm happy to make. If you're using a Litter Genie Pail, save yourself some money/time and go for the Jumbo version next time you need a Refill!

Overall I think that this is a pretty good product. It is simple and easy to use. I found it easy to install and I found that the bags can hold a fair amount of material. I also like that this is a large supply so I don't need to hear to the store to get more anytime soon. My one issue is that I didn't find that the roll has a predetermine place for cutting the bag. It didn't allow me to know exactly how much bag to pull. That is my one piece of feedback.

I am not completely satisfied with this product. It claims to eliminate the odor smell but it does not do a good job. Also it's hard to install the product inside the pail, hard to know when to cut it off. Overall I will still be buying it again because I already own a Genie pail but I think they really need to improve the odor eliminating part.

Part of a sampling program. I really like my Litter Genie and this Jumbo Refill allows me to use it for longer between replenishing the bag part. I appreciate being able to choose the exact amount of refill "bag" needed as it cuts down on plastic waste. The Jumbo Refill also costs less overall, so it's a win-win.

The Litter Genie and the large refill have been a game changer for me. Being a multi cat household, litter box cleanliness is critical. I scoop at least once daily so I have to empty the Genie weekly. With the frequency that I have to empty, I am so thankful to have an XL refill so I don't have to swap out bag inserts constantly. I also have not had any issues with the bags tearing and odour is essentially non-existent. Very happy with this product.

It is made of strong material, which holds the waste while it is being filled, as well as when you have to carry it to the garbage. It is really easy to set up another bag to fill it. I love love love these bags for my Litter Genie... it makes keeping the litter boxes clean soo much easier. There is the piece of plastic that blocks the scent and also allows the waste to fall down into the body of the bin when you pull it out. Believe me..no smell and we have 2 cats. Rather than having to use a new trash bag every time you empty it, you just keep pulling the bag out from the top until it runs out. Once the pail is full, you slice the bag using the provided slicer on the inside of the can, pull down more bag, and tie off the bottom. The large refill lasts for months!! I will never run around with plastic bags again.

The jumbo refill was quick and easy to install. The bag is sturdy enough to withhold quite a bit between 2 cats for almost 2 weeks when I felt it was at capacity to change. I didn't have any issues of the bag tearing nor any odour as it concealed the scent so fingers are crossed! As this refill is good for up to 4 months, I find that it might be more eco-friendly and space saving to purchase the jumbo ones instead of the standard size.
Really lasts 4 months.

The litter genie extra large bag refill is great. It's nice not to have to replace the bags as often as you need to with the regular version. They do a great job containing orders. It's super easy to install as well. I like that it just clicks in and has so many uses before it needs to be replaced.

I installed it without instruction myself and it's working well for us so far. My pail locks the old cat litter odour as usual. I expect the jumbo refill will last a few months for us. I will continue buying it, maybe restock it when on sale.
