Q: Is this the small bottle or the individual packs?

  • A: Individual packets small packets

submitted byJanet - 9 months ago
  • A: Blister packs, each pill is sectioned in a sheet of 6

submitted byLookingforLopeinbottle - 4 years ago
  • A: It is a small bottle.

submitted byLulubelle - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi Jeff - Thanks for stopping by! This is a small bottle of 24 caplets. I hope this will work for you! - Katrina

  • A: June 2020: 24 caplets now in difficult-to-open blister packs instead of arthritis-friendlier small bottles. FDA regulations to prevent abuse of loperamide has made economical sizes and simple packaging impossible to find online, OTC in person or via prescription for people who need it.

submitted byMidwest Woman - 5 years ago
  • A: Hey just bought it, August 2022, impossible to open blister pack. Unbelievably bad package design. Thanks FDA and Target! :/

submitted byAgamemnon - 3 years ago
  • A: This is blister-packed in order to make removal difficult BECAUSE an overrdose can cause problems. I use scissors--not a big deal. Ppl need to stop complaining about safety measures.

submitted byJay - 5 months ago

Q: Can someone Please clarify if this is sold in a easy to access bottle or the impossible to open blister packs as of 10/2020?

submitted by mog - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi, thank you for contacting us. We' re sorry to hear that there was an issue associated with the use of our product. Please contact us by calling the telephone number listed on your label and reference case # 137958, and we will address this issue immediately. • A: I use sciccors to cut out the dose I need. Stop complaining about safety measures that prevent people--including vulnerable children--from taking this med., which can be dangerous in excess.

  • A: The Loperamide 24 count was picked up on 10/30/21 so I am not picking it up again on 10/31/21. Thanks

submitted byLookingforLopeinbottle - 4 years ago
  • A: The FDA needs to allow better access for older consumers and for those with arthritis; the current packaging is sadistic -and imagine trying to get the pills out of the blisters if you're on a plane!!

submitted byOjoSuzie - 3 years ago

Q: I woul like to try thi after reading so many positive. BUT my husband I both have arthritis in our hands. From what I have read the medication is Very hard to open. Is this true

submitted by Lindy - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Lindy – Thanks for stopping by! Form out guest reviews scissors seem to do the trick. Please be sure to check out our guest review or more ideas. Happy shopping! Keacia

  • A: Scissors are the only way to open these and then you have to cut around the pill itself to get it out. It's like playing paper dolls.

    submitted byJudy K - 1 year ago
  • A: I use a pair of small sharp scissors which works perfectly fine. Impossible to open otherwise.

submitted byRoper - 15 days ago

Q: is dosage one or two caplets a day

submitted by wondering - 1 year ago
  • A: Read the box--age is one actor. ****MORE IMPORTANT, ASK YOUR DR.***** bc your specific health concerns will dictate the dose. For ex., bc of new health problems, I now take 1 tablet, not 2.

Work well but the packaging is a sick joke. At your worst, you're left fighting with horrible plastic that you're supposed to tear open. Yeah, okay.

A must have for IBS-D

Kenny - 4 months ago, Verified purchaser
A must for anyone with IBS-D or other gastrointestinal issues. I take as directed at the first sign of diarrhea and I rarely have to take a second one. It’s fast working as well. I keep them on hand in the house as well as a first aid/road trip kit in my vehicle so I’m never without. I definitely recommend making a road trip kit for your car and include things like this, gas relief and multiple motion sickness options and puke bags. I haven’t needed my road side kit often, but when I did it was so handy that friends complimented it lol.

The medicine works great if you can get it out of the package! My wife and I both were struggling to open the package. Terrible! We shouldn't have to use scissors to cut open a pill package. Please make the packaging better!

The price has increased a dollar in the past six months. As someone who has Crohn's disease, this used to be the most affordable way to get treatment when my system was running fast. It no longer is.

Unfortunately, these are no longer labeled gluten free! I've bought this brand for years because of Celiac Disease and needing medication that is gluten free and safe for me. Target did this with their generic verison of Zyrtec too. VERY dissapointing!!!

What a Pain

The tablets themselves work marvelously. I take them daily and they do their job. However, the packaging is an absolute abomination. These used to come in bottles, a gift to chronic diarrhea sufferers like myself. I believe the switch to blister packs is to prevent abuse. I cannot imagine it’s an effective solution. What it is actually effective at is preventing chronic diarrhea sufferers from accessing a medication they desperately need, particularly those of us with loss of dexterity in our hands. I am plagued by the difficulty in opening this medicine daily. Because of this, I now need to consider adding a daily pain reliever for my hands. If the law now requires you to package loperamide this way, will you please lobby on behalf of legitimate users to get this back in bottles? Also, why has the price nearly doubled? I’ve used this brand for years, but may now seek an alternative, as it is not a bargain at this price. They should be heavily discounted to offset the ibuprofen needed after trying to open them.
