Q: How many shampoos will be provided by one bar, or how many ounces of liquid shampoo is this approximately equivalent to?

A: I have had this bar for over 6 months, and wash my hair every other day. I have short hair. The bar is still 1/2 inch thick, so I believe it will last 10 months at least. The bar itself is hard and solid, and lathers up nicely in my hands. I tried rubbing it on my hair directly, but I get better results making the suds then putting them in my hair. Since it only costs $5, it is a gold plated bargain compared to regular liquid shampoos!

A: Thanks for writing in - We do not specifically test our products for the presence of gluten. Gluten may be present in products that contain derivatives of wheat, oat, rye, and barley. In labeling our products, we follow the guidelines established by the International Nomenclature for Cosmetics Ingredients (INCI) process. Therefore, if we use an ingredient derived from a grain such as wheat, oat, rye and/or barley, those names will appear on the label. We recommend that you consult with your physician as to whether your exposure to grain derivatives from the use of personal care products will cause the symptoms of Celiac disease.

Q: Stearic acid is second on the label asterisked as vegetable sourced. Could you clarify which vegetable(s), and if it is sustainably sourced? I do not see free from palm oil, which stearic acid is often derived from.

This product left white buildup on different strands all throughout my hair. I have very thick hair and I’m still trying to get all of it out, even months later. I have tried baking soda, purifying shampoo, you name it. I’m a big fan of this shampoo in liquid form but would NEVER use this bar product again.

This is a fantastic shampoo bar. I've tried many, and this one is one of my favorite. I have curly hair that is my natural color, long. I also use a conditioner bar. If you are new to shampoo bars, there is an adjustment period. If you used conditioner before, you will need to use it still.

I’m not a review writer but this shampoo bar was so bad I had to write something. 9/10 for the lather aspect 0/10 for cleaning hair!!! This left my hair feeling like I just ran a dry bar of soap through it and called it a day. I don’t know how anyone would like this feeling. I imagine brushing it after would’ve left me with a birds nest! Luckily I still had my old shampoo handy so I was able to fix it but wow this is an insanely bad product.

Not only is the smell delicious.. my hair feels great after using..I have a hard time finding good shampoo sulfate free because , a hint of any bad ingredients, my scalp, and ears are very itchy.. this gives me great suds, great feeling hair, and nooo itching as well as smelling so very good! I'm crushed that this shampoo bar seems to have been discontinued. It's fantastic for my thick, wavy, color-treated hair, and it literally eliminated my scalp psoriasis, which immediately came back when I was forced to switch to another brand. Please bring this back!!!!

I've been trying to eliminate plastic from the products I buy. Initially I bought this for a 3 month trip and I'm switching from bottled shampoo as a result. This stuff is lovely and smells divine, it does take a bit getting used to if you're accustomed to bottled shampoo. For me it's a winner.
