Metabo HPT CM4SB2M 4 in. 11.6 Amp Dry Cut Masonry Saw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw and then purchased the water nozzle part and the hose separately and it works like a dream to cut long pieces of granite and quartz. I did my research and this was a no-brainer. A friend of mine has one from 8 years ago that he uses every day and it still works perfectly.

I have been using the CM4SB2 for over 12 years in my profession as a tile setter. All day, every day, this saw does not skip a beat - ever. It's much more stable than a grinder and can cut any tile. Be it ceramic, porcelain, stone or even cement - she does not care. Can cut all day and it will never overheat or trip a circuit breaker. It's easy to use, has nice ergonomics for hand comfort and the design is still modern after all these years. Especially if compared to competitors that are very bland and rudimentary. Build quality is outstanding as well. One unit has lasted over 3 years of professional use and the shaft is still solid with no play. In this area, other big brand masonry saws are weak and develop shaft play pretty quickly, effecting safety and cut quality. Wet cutting capability is also a big bonus. The water valve supplies a steady amount of water and doesn't spray the user. The water plug and accessories are now an optional accessory however and not included in the box - that would be my only gripe. If you're in the market for a tile or masonry saw, don't look further than the CM4SB2, its literally the best - I've used them all. purchased to cut airstone for my fireplace job and it worked very well , also had to cut granite tile for the hearth and it surprised me how quick and smooth it cut the granite.

I purchased this saw to help me with my window and door replacement project on my stucco home. This saw worked perfectly! I could adjust the blade depth to merely score the stucco a couple of inches around the window for the window nail fins. By scoring the stucco, it would allow me to chip away the stucco layer and keep the wire intact for the stucco repair once the new window was in place. In areas where I wanted to install a larger window or install a door where a window once was, I could adjust the blade depth to the 1 3/8" depth and cut right through the stucco, wire, staples, and foam making the removal of larger areas of stucco siding easy to remove in large sections as opposed to breaking it all out by hand with a masonry hammer. Great for the purpose I needed it for...

i bought a hitachi dry masonry saw for past six months using every day cutting tiles and the switch on the control did not work
