Q: the description says it makes coffee "including the perfect crema." does this mean it uses milk?

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Jimmy. The layer that forms on top of each brewed coffee is a combination of coffee and air called the crema and is naturally created during the extraction process. Crema is a sign of high-quality coffee and has been a signature feature of our espresso. It does not contain any dairy or additives and will gradually subside as you enjoy your coffee. As each blend brews according to its own unique parameters, there is no way to adjust the amount of crema that forms. Enjoy discovering our many Vertuo blends with your VertuoPlus Deluxe machine.

Q: Is this product usually loud when brewing coffee?

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Jamie. It is normal for all Nespresso machines to make some noise during operation. Please keep in mind the following factors that may be contributing to the noise: • New machines with brand new pumps will produce less noise over time. • If operating without water in the tank, the pump will be louder. • A capsule in the capsule chamber will dampen the noise of the pump. • The machine should be stable, with four rubber feet on the bottom. If any rubber feet are missing, it may cause an abnormal vibration. • The ideal surface for the machine should be solid and flat such as hard wood or a granite countertop. Absolutely love my Nespresso and is a staple in my life! Coffee and espresso come out smooth and delicious every time and is the first thing I turn on in the morning before the kids wake up. Not the quietest machine out there but quiet enough to not wake anyone up. Wish it had a clean cycle button as cleaning it can be a bit confusing but love how sleek and clean it looks on my counter.

A small espresso poured into a large mug, for example, will cool down very quickly. I saw that this machine was on sale, and I considered buying my second one - until I realized that the last machine I had broke due to NO fault of my own. I thought I over used it - making two to three coffees per day. Apparently my experience - where my machine lasted less than a year - was shared by many people. Guess I'll not buy another one, even at a reduced price, if it's doomed to die in a year, which is what I experienced last time.

My favorite coffee machine ever. Nespresso coffee is so strong. You have the option to brew a regular hot coffee and a condensed brew for iced coffee. I like the vertuo because it’s a larger brew vs the original.

With one exception, the Plus works perfectly. I have made all four cup sizes and cleaning was more than easy. I also own a Breville and the espresso is good on both. There is a difference between crema and foam but for me, it does not matter. (If it does, get the Original not the Virtuo (unless you want coffee)). The exception, and why I don't give 5 stars, is that I have never been able to connect to it wirelessly. That makes little practical difference but I believe the Plus is supposed to do this.

I loved the Nespresso Vertuo Next - until it died. It worked well, brewed a good cup of coffee, and was super easy to operate. I didn't like how hard it is to twist the top on to lock the pod in place, but that wasn't a big issue for me. The part that I knocked off a star for was that it went from operating just fine to not turning on at all - nothing happened. I had coffee one morning, the next, the light wouldn't come on and the machine no longer operated. Despite all troubleshooting, it appears to have died. The machine is expensive enough that I'd expect it to last for more than 2 years, so that's disappointing. Not sure if I'll be an exact replacement or shift to a new brand.

I was a happy owner of the original Virtuo machine ....it worked great and lasted a long time. When it was time to replace it, I thought this would be an upgrade. Loved the sleek look and the idea of less width taken on the counter. This machine is horrible, Loud, awkward components, even leaks at the drip tray. The coffee still tastes great but after a short stay with me, I am donating it and will return to the original. Guess you don't fix what isn't broken. I wouldn't purchase this again, even at the sale price.

Title says it all. The machine is very noisy. The coffee is not hot enough, Cups fall off the cup holder, which I’ve owned the Evolou machine and the cups fall that one too. Nespresso please redevelop the cup holder. Nespresso being a premium brand I would expect premium quality. Noise, Heat, Functionality!

I replaced my VertuoNext with the VertuoPlus and could not be happier! I love the functional design. The automatic opening is a game changer, no more struggling with locking the machine head. Being able to change positions of the water tank is next level! Makes it easy to position exactly where you want it on the counter without sacrificing space. Best of all, it has the classic Nespresso quality, thick crema and beautiful espresso pull.

This is my second machine that Nespresso replaced because my first one broke. Unfortunately after a year of the second one, it broke again. With how expensive these machines are, they shouldn’t be breaking after a year or two of usage. I guess it time to go back to a Keurig

I’d take this over a normal keurig any day of the week. Everyone in my family has one of these. Works just as well as a keurig and is just as fast in the morning, but the cup of coffee you get is head and shoulders above a normal kcup. I really don’t have anything against keurigs, the convenience is great. But you take all of the pros of a keurig and add in a better quality cup of coffee, and you get a nespresso vertuo machine. Highly recommend!

It’s become almost impossible to open to load a pod. I’m the only one in the house strong enough to get it to open and even then it’s a major challenge. I’ve tried looking closely at the closing mechanism. Cleaned any residue or deposits and even sprayed a little silicone which helped for a short time. Love the coffee but not sure if I want to continue to deal with this.

I absolutely love my nespresso vertuo!! Makes great quality coffee, brews fast, and little to no clean up! Open the lid, and it flips the old coffee pod out, to put the new one in! Detachable water reservoir is very convenient as well.
