Q: Can you use a paper filter when brewing grounds?
A: Manual says not to, but it works fine with the #2 coffee filter. You will have to use it with the permanent filter to recognize it.
submitted byJason - 2 months agoA: I use some, coffee tastes fine, easier clean up too
submitted byRosegrl79 - 3 months agoA: I use a small paper filter as it’s easier to clean and have had no issue with it and have had it for around 9 months now. I just bought the small single serve filters off Amazon
submitted byShannon - 2 months agoA: This system isn't compatible with paper filters.

Q: can i make espressos with this machine?
A: Why does the video for specialty say you can use espresso grounds if you can't make espresso?
submitted byjenntrinity41102 - 2 months agoA: It can’t but there’s a “specialty” setting that you can use to make a concentrated 4oz coffee similar to espresso. It’s similar to moka pot coffee if you’ve had it.
submitted bySky - 1 month agoA: This does not have an espresso setting.

Q: Is the permanent mesh filter easy to clean?
A: I've always knocked out old grounds in compost bucket or trash, NEVER sink. * Then blast with sprayer (filter up side down) before stains set in. Easy Peasy! 😄
submitted byMaxx - 2 months agoA: Yes, it is very easy to clean.

Q: can i use reusable pods with this machine
A: The Ninja Pods & Grounds Coffee Maker is not compatible with reusable K-Cup filters. If you prefer to use your own coffee grounds, switch to grounds mode and use the permanent mesh filter included with the machine for single-serve brewing.

Q: can you use generic coffee pods with this machine
A: Most K-Cup pods are compatible with the Ninja Dual Brew. For best results, we recommend using Keurig® branded pods.

Q: Tried using a K-pod iced refresher with the choice of over ice with 8oz and it made a mess in the machine. How do you use the iced refreshers?
A: Please ensure the nozzle is fully installed before brewing. Fill a tumbler with ice, place it under your K-cup, and brew the pod using the "over ice" setting. When possible, use the cup tray to reduce the distance between the cup and the coffee nozzle.
