[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This PetSafe collar definitely gets the job done with my stubborn pup. It’s helped a lot with training, and I noticed a difference pretty quickly. Only thing is it’s a bit big for my small dog, so it took some adjusting to get it to fit right. Other than that, it works really well!

I've had 2 collars for two dogs and recently had to replace one. It was 18 years old and didn't do well with our dogs swimming with them. I have 7 acres of underground fence and these dog collars work great !

Have had the system for 3 years one collar housing broke replaced it in February and the new one will not work now changed the battery tested it worked once then now with new battery has no power and doesn’t do anything now

Very poor quality plastic the inside where the rubber o-ring sits crumbles then the o-ring doesn't seal. Only got 18 months out of this one.

I have purchased At least 10 of these collars. I have now had three of them which just begin to randomly shock dogs wherever they are inside the fence. I have every have called about one of them and they were good to replace it I wish that there was another option that was safer for my pets. The ones this has happened on have been very traumatized.

This collar has held up well. Battery is a 9 volt so also easy to replace.

I originally used sport dog receivers and they worked great but pricey then I changed to the regular PetSmart receiver and it worked very well until the power went out and the dog got out and roamed the neighborhood, after that he would not stay in. The stubborn dog receiver worked great. I like that it has a louder audible notice (beep) before the correction activates. The others just ticked before correction. The only problem I have with all receivers is that I can't set the range more than 6-8 feet from fence because the overhead power line will activate the collar thus preventing the dog from getting from one side of the yard to the other. However the Stubborn dog collar helps with this because of it's loud beep then correction which seems to activate quicker than the others. No escapes since using the new collar.

This collar was a huge answer to prayer -so glad to have purchased it as my dog finally stays within the boundaries of the in-ground fence and can enjoy the freedom of the yard!

Our dog is so happy with this collar! We have a very busy vizsla and I was worried about how the shock collar would effect his personality (he’s such an emotional dog), but after a week of training multiple times per day with the kids I don’t even have to put the shock on! He responds and backs up every time he hears the beep. He’s also kind of a scaredy dog :) I’m so glad that he can roam the yard and chase the critters away freely now!

Stubborn Dog Collar is the best I've now used this product with various dogs and it works extremely well! Keeps them on my five acres and not out of the property. Highly Recommend this product

Bought the stubborn dog fence system 5 years ago and it still works great! Yes I have had to replace the batteries which is understandable. Just take it easy with the screws when replacing batteries you can strip them out. I’ve also had to replace the collar straps a few times over the years due to dirt. Easy to do so well but be easy with the prongs in the case you can also strip them out with over tightening them. I have two beagles and they both wear a collar and they play fight at times. These collars have smacked to together a few times and wow still holding up great! Honestly no issues with the collar if the owner takes care of them when replacing batteries, straps, and prongs.

This collar has a much louder warning signal, and vibrates at the same time. So far, it has worked well. Our dog had escaped when using the regular collar, but so far with this collar, no escapes have been attempted.

We have two large labs and bought these in December of 2020. I have replaced the collar itself 6 times on one and 5 on the other. The units worked great at the beginning but both seem to be broken in the last two months. No alert/beep and no shock so the dogs are beginning to venture while we consider what to do. The 9V battery lasts very long which is a big bonus, but the dogs like to bite on them now and then so the little clear lens is missing on both and the rubber piece beneath them is also missing on one. I'm not as confident as I once was in this collar, but also don't know there is a better product out there for my dogs.

I've only had the in ground fence 6 weeks and love it BUT I'm purchasing my 4th replacement collar! One dog bites the other dogs collar and vice versa to set them free I assume I have attached my most recent receiver bitten and destroyed, yes I've tried differently made more sturdy collars but they are biting ripping the receivers out, off, whatever it takes

Works like original. It has not allowed my pointer from sneaking out of his area.

I've had your in-ground fence for 16 years and have always had success with the collars that came with it. That is until Lily. Had the collar on the highest level & she'd run through like it was nothing. Got the Stubborn Dog In-Ground Fence Receiver Collar and it only took attempts to leave the yard & she has since decided nope, I'm staying put. She's very reactive but squirrels or deer can be in my neighbor's yard & she's not tempted to go after them.
