Description
The Premier Pet™ Bark Collar discourages barking for all size dogs. If your dog barks, the collar detects the vibration of your dog’s vocal cords and issues a gentle static correction. This correction will not be triggered by the bark of any dog except the one wearing the collar. With 15 levels of automatically adjusting static correction, this anti-bark collar ensures your dog receives the best level for his/her temperament. The correction will start at the lowest level and will only increase if barking persists. No programming required! This water resistant collar has a nylon strap that is adjustable up to 28”, making it a great fit for both smaller and larger dogs. A low battery indicator on the collar will alert you when the collar battery should be replaced. I purchased the bark collar less than 6 months ago from the local Wal-Mart. The collar will not stay charged for more than 24 hours. It’s really difficult when you are trying to break habits with your fur baby when the equipment will not stay charged. Waste of money.

Doesn't shock after a day of use seemed to not be working. Tried it on myself and couldn't get it to shock me after 15 minutes of trying. Went threw very video on their YouTube and manuals. Fully charged.

Please know that since the bark collar is specifically designed to activate based off the average frequency of a dog's bark, it will not activate when a human tries to mimic barking. To test the collar, we recommend following the test instructions as outlined in the manual. Oftentimes, adjusting the fit of the collar on your dog can help to get these issues resolved. The collar should sit right in the center of your dog’s neck under their chin. The device needs to be snug enough so that it shouldn’t shift back and forth if they shake off. Both contact points must touch your dog's skin in order for the correction to be felt. It must be she likes her own voice but nothing has worked. I tried this bark collar on and at first, it didn’t really stop her much but I’ve left it on and have noticed it being quieter. Hallelujah!

I truly believe she's having FOMO, lol! So I put the collar on her when she has free roam in the backyard. It has worked wonders for us! I have it set to a little under halfway because I was a little nervous at first. But all it takes is that initial shock, and she stops! It absolutely does not hurt her, it just gives her a little fright! So need less to say, our neighbors are very happy! I will say, the only downside is the collars ability to hold onto smells! It gets so stinky, and I can't seem to get the smell out! I think we can deal with it if it keeps everyone happy, including Miss. Dora!

In case this is helpful, you can remove the collar strap from the box on the collar to wash it; for strong odors it may help to use a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, then dish soap to wash the collar strap before rinsing it thoroughly and letting it air dry.

We would recommend trying to fit the collar as high on her neck as possible and directly under her chin, snug enough so that you can fit one finger underneath. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been hesitant to try bark collars. I never want to inflict any kind of pain on my pups. I hesitantly gave this a shot one afternoon. I am happy to say that it worked, and my little guy did not seem the least bit uncomfortable! I'd still probably only use it when someone was home for a while, just to monitor how it works over a longer period of time.

So we've stopped using it at a certain time of day .

It did a okay job at getting him to stop barking, but I didn’t see much of a difference. It was also still pretty big on this neck, I have a Pomeranian and it was lose. I don’t think I’ll keep using this

The collar was a bit bigger than i expected but will work for our largest dog. I like that it adjusts to your dog to help train them. He had it on for a few hours and didnt have any issues with barking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: lt has a test setting, so you can feel for yourself the shock levels as they become stronger. I got to level 4 with my own fingers. It's silent, so other pups in the household won't be confused by random beeps - I had that problem with a different bark collar. It auto pauses the impulses if your pup is barking incessantly. It's easy to turn on/turn off, adjust the size, and put on/take off. Con: My pup did not respond. She is a 60 pound 3 year old standard poodle with a short-to-medium haircut, and her hair is dense and curly. She is also quite strong willed. She did not react at all to the collar. I know it was on and working, unfortunately she just kept up her barking. I have tried it on several different occasions, with and without other household pups around, indoors and outside, and it didn't make a difference. I think it would work well on a smalller pup or one with less hair or thinner hair, or a less stoic disposition, but it was no match for my baby girl.

She doesn't always wear one. But when we go on our outings, I do like her to be a good girl and not bark at all the other dogs. Ivy did very well and I will continue to use the collar.

We followed all instructions including shaving some of her hair . I was so disappointed this didn't work
