Q: What is the difference between ps5 digital edition and the ps5 console besides price ?

  • A: My understanding is the digital edition is meant for downloaded games only (no place to insert disc) the other console allows both downloaded games and hard copies of PS4, PS5, DVD, etc.

  • A: The digital edition does not allow for disc games to be inserted. You can buy a separate disk drive to add to the digital one, but you would probably be wasting money that way. I would recommend buying the regular one.

This listing is for the Slim version with the Blue-ray disc drive. The Slim is 30% smaller and has a larger SSD for storage. Although there were some minor technical upgrades, the overall performance is about the same and they both have the same CPU and GPU.
