Premier Pet 1/2 Acre Adjustable Wireless Fence - Black

Bought this 8 months ago and it’s well worth the $$$. We have 2.2 acres and no fences, Our new rescue was very curious and would just wonder off the property, I got tired of going after him . With this Remote invisible fencing has made life so much easier for Jeb and myself. I love that he has 1/2 acre perimeter that he can explore . He learned his boundries right away. The collar doesn’t bother him and he has not tried to chew it or take it off. He wears it all day and we take it off him at night. He is one happy dog having his freedom and me not having to worry or to have him on a tie out. Jeb and I highly recommend this product, there are other products on the market but this is #1 for us. It was easy to set up . And the unit takes up a small space.

I’ve had to replace this system 3 times over the course of the last 5 years. Same with replacing collars. Unfortunately I rent so it’s the best option for containment, but if you’re looking for long term use of steer clear.

I used this collar for two months and it worked fine until today i noticed my dog was curled up beside the house whining. After checking on him and looking him over i noticed his neck was burned where the collar was. For some reason the collar has kept shocking him no matter how close he got to the receiver. It worked fine for two months none of the settings or size of the area where changed the collar just started shocking for no reason.

We’ve been using this product for months and have loved it! Today we had a storm and the power went out. Both of my dogs were inside and when the power went out and they were getting repeatedly shocked. We haven’t decided if we’re going to continue using the product and just remove their collars during storms or if we’ll discontinue use altogether. We’re really disappointed that this happened.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wireless fence system is just what we needed! I didn't want to build a fence around my backyard because we have a nice tree line and view. The setup of the system was straightforward and simple. It took my Australian sheep dog a few days to test out the boundaries and get used to the system, but he quickly learned and can now enjoy the yard without a physical fence.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Premiere Pet Wireless Fence is fairly easy to set up with no wires to run and best of all no digging required. No digging required means you can set this up over concrete patios, brick pathways, and across driveways. However being wireless means you aren't able to block off specific areas of your yard like you can with a wired system. If you just need to keep your pet in your yard and close to your house this will work perfectly. Set up takes very little time and it can be done alone but it works best with a helper. The time it takes to train your pet to work with the fence system will vary depending on your pet and the amount of time you spend training your pet, the same as any other invisible fence. Finding the proper placement of the fence transmitter for your home can be a challenge if you have structures such as large appliances, chimneys or large metal structural beams that can block the signal. This can eat up large chucks of your fence area if you are unable to move the transmitter. When moving or adding any large appliances or other object's that may block the fence signal be sure to check your boundary and make sure to move flags and retrain your pet. For my house I had to move the transmitter from where I had initially planned to place it because I was getting interfence from the chimney, a large freezer and ductwork that were all inline. This was cutting out a significant portion of my yard. It blocked my dog's favorite tree and he just would not stand for it. Training can be done in 2 weeks but ymmv it took about 3 weeks for me but a lot of that had to do with my stubborn dog refusing to give up laying under his favorite tree. Setting up the collar was straightforward and well explained in the instructions. I like that the test light also worked to remove batteries, open the cover on the stimulation adjustment, and change out electrodes on the collar. No need to look for a seperate tool, this one does it all. Another issue I had besides the transmitter placement was the collar itself. The collar needs to be tight enough to keep the electrodes in position, no easy task for a breed that grows a coat like a standard poodle. Normally we keep his face and neck fuzzy but the collar didn't seem to stay where it needed to. Luckily he can be shaved and not look silly, so we shaved the neckline a bit longer and it's perfect. I loosened the collar to take a picture so you can the difference in the in his haircut and where we placed it and the first picture is his before the hair cut.

I recommend because it’s safety for my dog knowing she can enjoy freedom without me worrying about her getting out of the yard in to the road or taking off , the whole back yard is hers she don’t have to be. A dog pin when she goes out anymore it’s very easy to install it, I’m not in very good physical health and I did it by myself so that’s a plus for me I highly recommend this product for pets wanting to go outside in the yard and keep getting out of the yard this will keep them inside and it safe for your pet . My dog turns into the Flash whenever she is off the leash, we have spend many time herding her back home when she gets out. We looked into a company to come to install one but the price was out of our budget. Enter the Premier Pet Wireless Fence this is easy to install and works just as good if not better then the professional companies. It is nice to be of piece of mind that my furbaby is safe at all times!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Premier fence is great for helping teach dogs boundaries. This system is for dogs at least 8 pounds AND 6 months. The setup took us about an hour and a half,however when we were testing certain areas around the house lost the signal This was due to our aluminum siding.We adjusted the perimeter so we had no interference. The kit comes with everything you need to start training. We spent about two weeks training our pup to be sure she understood what it was all about the flags are a good visual for her to know she is getting close to the danger zone LOL! She noticed the beep and ignored it once she felt static she knew that was as far as she was going. We have not had to raise the static level above 2 and my husband and I both shocked each other with it and it's more of a startle than shock so I don't worry that it is hurting our pup. We feel good about being able to let her run around a large part of the yard safely. You can also take the kit with you and set it up.

However, we simply followed the directions and our dog was trained in less than 3 weeks. Great product, easy to use and now our dog is trained to stay out of the garden and pool areas of our yard. I live in the country & with this fence I have piece of mind knowing my dog will stay in the yard . This covers up to a half acre which is plenty of room for him to run. This worked like a charm. I love that it is easy to use and really helps correct the dogs behavior. I know we will be using this again soon to help keep him in the yard.

I’ve used a couple different brands in the past but, somehow he always managed to get past the fences. I believe this one is the jackpot!

Yes I know it would of been a small price to pay for a comfort in knowing our pup will not run but I was trying to find a good balance of keep the puppy in place and keeping our yard nice. Our puppy was able to be trained in about two days. So that was fantastic. Con: it does not transmit through any metal. Do not park your car in the field because it will interfere and if your dog is smart, they will figure it out. It just takes some adjustments, otherwise it’s great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the easiest electric fences I’ve ever installed and it only took a few minutes! I utilized this for my husky because he loves to break our fence and run the neighborhood and the normal shock collars would never work on him. This device has extra long prongs so it can actually get to his skin and through all of the thick fur. It was sad to hear him help for the first time but he has stayed within the boundaries ever since. I plugged the main system inside my house in my laundry room and it moderates all around our house so he cannot and will not get out. This is one of the best I have tried and am so glad I found this product!
