I love the way it makes my skin look! I have problems with shiny looking skin and this product makes my skin look matte but not too dry. It's the only thing that works. Also, it grips onto makeup SO WELL i love this so much. It seems small at first but I've gotten good use out of it. Hopefully it wont run out for a long time but when it does i will definitely buy more. i've tried using a beauty blender to apply it but honestly using my fingers works better.
No longer need to reapply makeup throughout the day.

Works well for oily skin. I used to have to reapply my makeup a couple times throughout the day bc my face would become so shiny. This primer has really helped my makeup hold up throughout the day without so much shine.

I have had extremely oily skin for as long as I can remember. I can wash my face and then two hours later I look like an oil slick. I have tried countless things and nothing really helped so I gave up for years and just dealt with it. I bought this not expecting much from it but I am soooo impressed with!! It keeps me shine free for the entire day which I never thought was even possible!! Please don’t ever discontinue this or change the formula because I will always have this in my vanity!!! Give this a try if you’re an oil slick like me :)

I have very oily skin. This primer definitely helps to extend the wear time of everything I put on after it. So in that way you could say it's gripping. But it's not sticky at all. It has a smooth, soft, silicone finish that helps fill and blur pores. You can see in my photos how it blurred the lines in the back of my hand. I'd recommend it for all skin types.

This is one of my go to primers, I like the way it feels going on my skin, it’s silk like & turns powdery after I apply it all over my face, it is a matte powder so it does keep my oils at bay but I’m not going to say it keeps me matte for 16hrs but for a drugstore primer this can compete with some of my high end primers, I have a back up since I reach for this one so much, definitely recommend.

Upon initial application, I noticed that it felt similar to the Smashbox primer, which is not a primer that I enjoy. I tend to have oily skin, and that primer actually exacerbates the problem. However, I was pleasantly surprised that this primer made my skin look matte and stay matte. It kept my makeup looking beautiful all night for the event that I was going to and lasted until I washed my makeup off that night.

I have combo skin- more on the oily leaning side, especially in this summer heat! This is the ONLY drugstore primer that’s helped keep my oils to a minimum. You must try, you will not be disappointed!

By the end of the day there was no shine and my foundation was still on my face beautifully. Its really comfortable on my oily skin with only a slight 'silicone' feeling to it. Will be repurchasing.

Bought this because I thought it would be the same as elf gripping primer or the NYX one, it’s really greasy and separates foundation, it felt like it was slipping off my face :(

I have been using the set of Grip, Lock and Blot from the Revlon Colourstay range. The combined power of these 3 products is undeniable! Grip is the primer. I instantly notice that my complexion is transformed to a smoother better version of itself. My foundation applies more easily, meaning i need to use less, which is always great. The packaging indicates 16 hours longwear and I was able to test that out over a few very long days. It really held up well. I didnt need to reapply across the day, and I had limited shine or smudge at the end of the day. I actually felt disappointed on the mornings I forgot to apply the primer. For a user friendly, easy to apply primer, this one ticks all the boxes and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend.

It's very easy to apply with a gentle squeeze applicator and a little goes a long way. It spreads well over my face and only requires a little amount. I found that my foundation went on very smoothly after using the primer and I needed less foundation than usual. I felt that my foundation covered my imperfections very easily and very thoroughly after using the "Colorstay Grip Matte Primer". This primer is very matte and would really be really beneficial for those with an oily complexion but is still suitable for other skin types too, It is also very reasonably priced and will definitely be a valuable addition to my daily make-up routine now.
