quip Sonic Electric Toothbrush

Quip's QC has gone downhill. I've had this Quip toothbrush for several years, so I purchased one for my boyfriend mid-2023. After several months the button was no longer powering the brush, even after replacing the battery and re-seating the mechanism. We purchased a replacement in October of 2024 and it's also now not working in the same manner. My 5-6 y/o Quip brush is also no longer powering on but that's not unexpected considering its age. I really like these brushes so I'm very disappointed, but we've purchased our last one.

Worked well while it lasted, but my husband’s stopped turning on after a couple of months and mine stopped working after nearly a year.

These never last. I’ve been through four now and I’m done. This last one didn’t end last four months. Total gimmick, company is hard to deal with. Waste of money. Just made to end up in the landfill.

I tried this brand because I had heard so much hype about it but what a letdown. I haven’t even had it long enough for the new brush head interval and I’ve had to replace the battery four times. It would be way better if it were rechargeable.

It’s awful Oral b is superior. No power on this

I bought this while traveling because my OralB iO toothbrush broke mid-trip and I couldn’t find any in-store nearby to replace it. Having used electric and sonic toothbrushes for more than 20 years, this is the worst one I’ve ever used. It’s basically a manual toothbrush that vibrates a little. I see no benefit from the bristle movement at all. Far from the performance of even the least expensive Sonicare or OralB electric brush, both of which are comparably priced.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a pretty nice toothbrush! After opening the packaging I absolutely loved that the toothbrush was in a nice clear sturdy container. It's so perfect to use the container when traveling or taking your toothbrush with you in the go, like work. The design of the toothbrush is pretty unique. The colors are so vibrant and welcoming. I appreciate that it does not look like just some regular old toothbrush. At first I wasn't impressed with how this the center to the tip of the toothbrush was designed but now I understand why. The thinness of the top half of the brush helps to navigate around the teeth and gums by allowing it to subtly bend, yet still sturdy. The power button to turn on the brush is a conveniently placed right where I need it. Once on, the toothbrush is timed to about 2 minutes, a nice feature for those of us who like to time our brushing. However, I usually brush a bit longer than 2 minutes. The power of the sonic vibration is just right, not too soft and not too intense. There are some silicone bristles along with the other bristles that make it a very comfortable brushing. I would, however, like for the head of the brush to be a bit wider. I found myself making sure I didn't miss spots on my teeth because the brush was wide. The replaceable battery, replaceable brush head feature, and app are fantastic!! The app helps to track your brushing routine, set reminders to switch brush heads, and allows you to earn rewards like a brush head. One key flaw I was a little annoyed by was the random times it will stop before the 2 minute brushing ends. Other than that, I say it is a nice toothbrush and I will definitely recommend it to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used a few electric toothbrushes over the years, I’ve seen the Quip brand but I’ve always felt hesitant about the price. It felt too good to be true, but I’m pleasantly surprised. I am so happy to say this product proved me wrong. At a glance, I love the bright colored handle, the brush head isn’t too bulky, its easy on the eyes but the bristles felt too soft for my liking. Once powered on, the bristles firm up a bit, and I loved that. The built in timer is great, I love that feature for my husband or even my kids who rush through brushing. For an electric toothbrush, it is very lightweight. This company thought of everything, I really appreciate how travel friendly this is. I’ve always had a “travel” toothbrush, something cordless, lightweight, and with a case, a “normal” toothbrush. This product, comes with a case, it’s not bulky, and you don’t have to worry about wires or cords. As a pregnant mom of 2, I’m thinking ahead, and this will be perfect to have in my hospital bag. It’s such a cute toothbrush, it feels luxurious, and it’s so affordable. I can’t wait to buy one for my husband and kids.

I brush and floss 2-3 times per day and have been using a different electric toothbrush with a similarly elongated (but more narrow) brush head for years, and I was excited to try a different product. I love the design of the toothbrush; very modern and sleek, and I love how it takes up so little room. The tall stand gives it stability when storing, and the sticky strip on the back makes it really easy to adhere to your mirror. I was able to stick it on and then take it off easily without it leaving any residue on the mirror (although I did not leave it there for long). I also love the case that easily secures the toothbrush for travel! The toothbrush head itself is a good size. The bristles are a bit softer than I'm used to. I think it covers great surface area, but I am used to and prefer the bristles to be a bit more stiff. Additionally, the vibration was lighter/gentler than I was used to. I can see someone with sensitive teeth or who doesn't live the vibrations liking it, but I would prefer it to vibrate a bit more rigorously, even though it does a good job of producing "suds" as I brush my teeth. Lastly, although it's a good size, I can see how having a more round toothbrush head would enable you to get better access to molars/teeth in the back of your mouth. I had a hard time curving the brush head around the back of my wisdom teeth in the back. The subscription model they have is interesting. On the plus side, it holds you accountable to changing your toothbrush head consistently, but I don't love the idea of having to change the battery, so that's one down side for me. I'd prefer a rechargeable toothbrush so I don't have to worry about replacing batteries. After purchasing my first sonic toothbrush several years ago, my dentist suddenly seemed much kinder and gentler, with fewer followup appointments for fillings. So, when I received a Quip sonic toothbrush from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I rejoiced. But there are several factors to weigh. Let's start with the good. First, it's a sturdy, metal handle, with a rounded brush head that looks cool and easily fits in your mouth. Next, travel cap doubles as a holder that easily adhere's to the bathroom mirror, an innovating double-duty that helps keep cluttered counters clear. Finally, I like that there are a number of options for refills, ranging from a subscription through Quip to picking them up at many favorite retailers. Quip has a lot going for it, but this toothbrush lost me on its performance. A sonic toothbrush is supposed to give your teeth a vibrating deep clean. The brush is supposed to clean your teeth, while your hand just has to move it from location to location in your mouth. This toothbrush just vibrated my hand, while I needed to manually scrub my teeth like I was using any old toothbrush. I like, and want to love, Quip, but weigh what you're looking for in a sonic toothbrush before you pick one up.

Regardless of choice, I have constantly needed dental cleanings in between as the toothbrush didn’t meet my needs. So, I was hesitant to think it would make a huge difference when I began to use the Quip Sonic Battery Toothbrush after receiving it from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and as such, I didn’t have high hopes. I was wrong. Immediately after the first clean, my teeth and gums felt as good as they do when I leave the dentist. The mix of traditional brush and rubber seems to make cleaning a breeze, and it’s easy to get into every angle. I won’t be going back to a regular toothbrush now, and I will happily purchase replacement heads as necessary. Plus, it looks pretty, can stick onto the wall, and has a holder that is also a travel case. What’s not to love?

It was easy to hold and maneuver, and I loved the clear travel case it came in. I love that the toothbrush can adhere to the mirror to save counter space for storage, and for easy reach. The colors and appearance were attractive and it was packaged very neatly. The bristles were very soft, however I did have some gum bleeding with the product. The vibrations are gentle, yet seem to be effective at cleaning. There is a 2 minute timer for a complete routine making it mindless and simple. It offers pulses and vibrations. However, unlike other toothbrushes, there is no spin function on the brush. There is no charging station required, as there are replaceable batteries. The brush head can be replaced on the reusable handle. It’s cordless and requires no charging ! I appreciated the aesthetics of this toothbrush and the vibrations for an even clean, made simple. I did not use this tooth brush long enough yet to test or comment to the battery life of the product. The batteries appear easy to change and reuse.

First thing that impressed me was the sleek packaging, even more impressive was it came in a reusable case. Full marks on being environment friendly. Next came the usage of the Quip Sonic electric toothbrush. It has a metal handle which holds the battery, it feels sturdy and right amount of heavy. The top part holds the flexible head with well-crafted bristles. It has an automated timer- however I do tend to use 2 cycles. Having gone through few root canals and caps on my tooth, I am always careful about choosing my toothbrush and softness of the bristles. Quip Sonic Battery Toothbrush passed with flying colors on both my criteria. And talking about color, it has a beautiful rainbow color handle which stands out. After overall considerations, I recommend this product.

I love a battery operated toothbrush as I have many dental Issues and concerns. I have been loyal in the past to a different brush, so I was nervous to try something different. The Quip brush is fabulous on many levels: 1) sleek, slim, pretty (!) design. 2) It is comfortable and feels so great in my hand. 3) It fits in my travel bag perfectly (no heavy charger to bring along) 4) low maintenance-I don’t need to charge it, it just works! 5) cleaning power- whoa! The bristles are soft and gentle, but they always seem to find something and leave my mouth extra clean. Almost don’t need dental floss it is such a through brushing! The timer aspect is great to know when to change quadrants. Overall, the brush itself is fantastic. The app, however, is not. No matter what I did, I could not get the app and brush to sync up. My techy husband tried and could not get it to do so either. I manually added the information for a few days and then honestly, it was not very interesting information being kept track of and I kept forgetting to enter (have other things on mind!!)

The Quip sonic toothbrush would make a convenient travel toothbrush, but I don’t think I will continue using it as my primary toothbrush. The timer on it is helpful to know how long to brush in each area and to make sure I am brushing for the recommended amount of time. I like that it comes with a mount so I can keep it on my mirror instead of sitting on the counter. However, I just do not feel that I get as thorough of a clean with the vibrations as compared to electric toothbrushes with rotating brush heads.

After a few weeks of use, I find myself impressed and really happy with the Quip. The main benefit is the timer- there is a gentle vibration that lets you know it’s time to switch quadrants. No more mental time keeping or guessing. I can use the time to wind down or plan my day instead. I think the brush head is great- it has just enough flex and rigidity. It seems longer and more narrow than most manual brushes- so it reaches more places. It’s a very comfortable brush head because of the material it’s made of. The Quip comes with a holder you can stick to a surface. I chose to stand it on my counter. I appreciate the durable, clear cover. Makes it easy to take on trips, but also just helps keep your toothbrush clean in general. This is a big plus in my book. I haven’t had to change the batteries yet- but it’s nice to know I can simply change the batteries and brush head. The handle stays out of the landfill which is nice. I received a pretty rainbow color which my 4 year old daughter loves- making her excited to brush her teeth with me. Overall, I plan to replace all my families toothbrushes with Quip. The benefits are rewarding to our health with minimal effort and environmentally friendly.

I had seen Quip all over Instagram and heard all about it on podcasts so the chance to try it out for myself was great. Overall, the Sonic Toothbrush gets two thumbs up. The biggest pro is the use of AAA batteries. I love that I can use my rechargeable batteries thus making the toothbrush rechargeable while not needing a cable and a charging base. The slim design also is a huge win, I didn't have have to find a different toothbrush holder or add to bathroom counter clutter, and lastly, the dual purpose travel cover/holder is incredible. I traveled while testing this out and loved that I could just pop off the cover, stick it to the mirror and slip the toothbrush in (hello, not accidentally knocking my toothbrush on the hotel floor). It doesn't hurt that Quip comes in a bunch of colors and with a kids head option - we've now invested in Quip for the rest of my family!

I've been using this toothbrush for a few weeks, and I absolutely love it. The packaging was very appealing and easy to open. I love the colorful, sleek toothbrush. I usually use manual toothbrushes because of the cost of electric; however, this toothbrush is priced just right and cleans very well. I've never had a brush with a timer, but let me tell you, this is a game changer. It even has 30-second intervals, so you get each quadrant of your mouth. I tend to brush one side of my mouth more than the other, so the interval timer helps me make sure I'm getting my whole mouth evenly. I believe this toothbrush is a valuable addition to my oral hygiene routine. It leaves my teeth fresh and clean.

It holds like a normal toothbrush, I loved that it wasn’t bulky in my hands. I also really loved the two minute timer, and how it buzzed every 30 seconds. This really helped my brushing habits and ensured I got each quadrant of my mouth really clean. The downside that knocked a star off for me was how much I could feel the vibration in the brush itself on my hand, or even if the back of the toothbrush head hit my tooth, but I couldn’t really feel the vibration while actually brushing my teeth. It didn’t feel like it was making my teeth any cleaner than my manual toothbrush.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used an electric toothbrush for many years, but was wildly impressed by a number of features with the Quip toothbrush, Relative to other electric brushes, this brush is much lighter improving its portability and ease of brushing teeth - particularly when watching young toddlers. The shape of the brush is very effective at removing plaque and improving gum health. I particularly like the silicone bristles for massaging along the gum line making more an enjoyable brushing experience!
