A Quilters Dream

I have only had this iron about a week. so far absolutely love it. I am quilter and the weight of the iron is ideal for pressing seams and getting them flat without having to use a clapper. I love the option of being able to have the auto off, on or off. the separate heating element is wonderful. I highly recommend this Iron to any quilter.
Can be made superior

This iron can be superior with few changes. The temperature is constant as well as the steam. No leaks to report either. However, the Anodized Aluminum Soleplate doesn't glide as smooth as a Stainless Steel Soleplate. I find the hand sensor to be tiring as requires the hand/s to be in certain position for the entire time. There is no steam boost.
Velocity 240IR - Spectacular

I've had the Velocity 240IR for at least a couple of years. It is common for me to iron 25-30 shirts in one sitting (standing!). I cannot say enough about this iron, it does the job better than any other iron I have used and after so long and so many shirts it is holding up like brand new. I highly recommend the Velocity 240IR for those with a small load or a large load of shirts like me!

I bought this iron years ago and it is still working like a dream! I bought it for the auto shut off bypass because I sew, but i am sold because of how well it steams even on low settings.

I purchased this iron to replace the one I might have just killed. Long story . . . But I had it for around 10 years and it still actually works, it just doesn't produce steam anymore. The new iron is kept in my bedroom because it's a pain to go up and down stairs to iron clothes. It, of course, works wonderfully! The steam is marvelous and the heat is perfect for what I need to press. Haven't used the higher setting yet, but once this hot summer is done and I can wear/iron jeans again I'll certainly check it out. My "downstairs" iron is the Maven 1L Home Ironing Station that I use for sewing/quilting, but that's a review for another time. These steam generating irons don't leak, spit, or sputter. I'll never buy another brand.
Love it!

This is the best iron that I have ever used! I am a home sewer and I highly recommend this iron. It does not leak or sputter water all over my sewing projects.

This iron works great! I love that it makes such great steam, but it only steams when the handle is held, so it conserves water, meaning it doesn't have to be refilled as often. It is a great weight, heavy enough to get the job done. This model also has a quiet beep, and there is a way to bypass the auto-shutoff.
Trying Reliable for the first time

Having been a seamstress for 50+ yrs, I am very demanding of an iron that performs and lasts. Dissatisfied with a previous high-end iron brand, I am trying Reliable for the first time. I like the simplicity of the iron settings and the choice of auto shut off or no auto shut off (preferred).

Great iron replaced an older model. This model even better only a little heavier.
