Not for thick hair
I had this straightener for about a year. I have thick wavy hair and this product takes forever to finish styling my whole head and then a few hours later it gets wavy so I have to go back and do my hair again. I do like the controls and it is easy to use but it just doesn’t work well for my hair.I recommend this for thin or fine hair.

I’ve had it for 6 months. It took a long time for the new flat iron chemical smell to go away. And now the on/off switch only works if you hold it just right. Not recommended

Not good for thick hair
Not at all good for thick hair I have very light waves and it would work keeping my hair straight for a couple hours but would just become frizzy and puffy again

Better than the super expensive ones
I still have the OG purple color one from 2015 and it’s still going strong. I’ve tried so many others and when I found this one it beat all my super expensive hair straighteners. I still can’t believe it’s lasted me this long too. I always recommend it. Plus you can’t beat that price.

It doesn’t clamp all the way down. So you have to hold on to the top toward the metal plates which obviously gets hot. This would be good for someone with thin/fine hair but I have thick wavy hair

Pulls my hair!
I knew I was getting a cheap straightener but this is terrible. It doesn’t get hair as straight as I’d like, but even more annoying is IT CATCHES MY HAIR! It’s painful. My hair gets caught around the plates and it pulls and breaks it. Cheap design and cheaply made. Waste of money.

My new staple
