I hate this flat iron because it leaves an awful scent of burnt plastic in your hair! I’ve used it 3 times, hoping the smell would dissipate after the initial use and it hasn’t. Major regret- I do NOT recommend anyone purchase this.

There’s too much of a gap in the floating plates so my hair slips way too easily when trying to curl my hair. and sometimes with straightening. I think it works well but the plastic is so cheap and gets so hot even at the tip where you should be able to place your fingers and not get burned is super hot. It’s the first straightener that made me really think about getting heat protectant gloves because it’s too hot for me to touch. It shouldn’t be that way. I like the digital temperature read. That’s nice.

this hair straightener is actually better than the $160 one i got from ulta a couple years ago. i just bought this one because it was the cheapest one available and i forgot mine at home when i was on vacation. but i love it and only use this one now, not my old one. it’s also perfect for getting the little baby hairs close to your head, cause the edges of the straightener don’t get hot and burn you if it touches your head.

The iron is super lightweight and heats up quickly. I liked the digital display. The major downside is that the plates do not close all the way! And don’t try to squeeze down super hard to get the plates to close when flat ironing your hair. I did, and the iron burned my hair right off. Ended up having to return it.

I like the fact it has a lock button and has a swivel cord. Unfortunately it doesn't have a low enough heat setting for my fine/thin hair type and gets too hot on the lowest setting. I would definitely recommend for thick, coarse hair. I was so hopeful it would help me style my new curtain bangs but left me with dry frizzy crimps.

I bought this as a temporary replacement for my straightener I left at my moms house when visiting, I didn’t think it would work great due to the price and reviews but let me tell you how wrong I was! I’m impressed at how well it works 😳 I think my Babybliss one is getting replaced. The quality is not the greatest though, it does have a gap between the blades and the material feels cheaper. I have coarse hair so the separation between the blades is not an issue. I just hope it lasts 🤭 nonetheless I am very happy with my purchase.
