Q: I see that this mat is designed to be used on smooth surfaces. Does this mean it can be used on glossy tile shower floors (4x4" tiles)?

A: Hello! The suction cups adhere best to smooth surfaces. They will not work on texture or on grout lines. The mat works 100% when 100% of the suction cups are installed properly. Hope this helps!

A: This mat is designed for smooth surfaces and may not adhere well to textured tile. For better suction, try running the mat under warm water to soften the suction cups before use.

A: Hi, Please be advised that this mat is designed to be used on smooth surfaces, any sort of texture or tile can interfere with the suction cups. A helpful hint to getting the cups to suction is running the product under warm water to soften the cups a bit before installing. We recommend pressing on several cups with your hand to secure them before use.

Maybe it's just my shower floor (tile) but this mat does not stick to it at all and is far more dangerous than having nothing down at all. I got it so my toddler wouldn't slip but she's better off without it. Perhaps it would work on a smoother surface but if you have a tile floor, I wouldn't recommend.

I bought this mat for a shower with a drain hole in the middle. The size is slightly bigger than needed on the edges. But the mat makes me feel safer while standing in the shower and it is a good quality.
