The scent is very light and refreshing but it lasts for 3+ days! Every time I let my hair down from being up I’m just smacked in the face by the amazing smell coming from hair! My hair also feels so soft, light, moisturized, but not at all greasy! Only issue with this conditioner is the pump. It sucks. It’s very hard to get the thick conditioner out of this tiny pump:(

When you can get the product out, it’s great..but it truly needs new packaging. The formula is WAYY too thick for the packaging.

I had to add my voice to the reviews. I had been looking for this product because I ran out and forgot what it was due to the fact that I had cut open the bottle when it was new and put it into a tub container. I couldn't remember what it was called, but when I stumbled on to these reviews I knew I had found it! I'm suprised they haven't changed the packaging yet! Sheesh!

Let me add my review to the ones below - I like the product. It helps protect my hair, doesn't dry it, and smells great! But y'all, this conditioner is too thick for a pump. Half the time the pump doesn't work! A more traditional squeeze top would have the same effect - I know because I basically have to squeeze this out now to use it. Please change the packaging. The packaging you use for the gel-oil in this same collection would be great, actually - a large jar with a top that you can screw to open as well as a large lip that you can flip up to access the product.

Hair is soft, curls are elongated, defined. One thing - SheaMoisture needs to revisit the packaging; bottle and pump not appropriate for this very thick conditioner. Easier to use if the company package the product in a tub. Much as I like it, I will not purchase it again if it remains in the bottle; it's almost impossible to get the product out!

This is the first conditioner that actually moisturizes my thick curls well. I can tell because after applying my curls take form right away. With other conditioners my curls would take hours to form or would drop and stretch into something more like a sad wave than a curl. Like others, my complaint is that the product does not come out of the pump. Throw the pump away. The product is way too thick and if the company is actually reading these reviews, they should have changed that by now. I end up cutting my bottle in half and scraping out the contents into a tub with a screw top and it would be great if Shea Moisture sold the product like that to meet the needs of the customers. Other than that, my curls respond extremely well to this wash n go conditioner.

Very good conditioner and does well for my hair. I didn't rate higher because of the packaging. It is too thick for the pump and even too thick to pour out. I have to add hot water to each time to make it loose enough to come out.

This conditioner works well for my hair and is less tangled during pre-rinse out clearing.. BUT, the packaging is USELESS. This conditioner is too thick to pump out of the bottle. I have to remove the useless pump and squeeze the bottle very hard. Until the packaging is rectified, I will not purchase any more. Do better Shea Moisture!! Improve your quality control!!

I love this product but the conditioner is way to thick can’t pump out actually have to place in microwave to loosen enough to put in another jar i can dip fingers in and the defining gel is not thick enough. But i love the way this product makes my curls look and feel

I love your products and Make it Last Conditioner is one of your best for my hair. The conditioner is too thick to dispense from the bottle. Just put the product in a jar and keep it moving! Also, less fragrance would be appreciated.

I understand the company using packing they already have, but this was the wrong one. Because it's so thick it won't pump. I couldn't even get it out after leaving the bottle upside-down and taking the top off. It may be a great product but I didn't really get to use it. I do a wash-n-go because of the ease and quickness but getting the product out of the container took way too much time and messing (which is why I gave it only three stars for effectiveness).

This conditioner feels great in my hair. i have 3a curls and the conditioner makes detangling easy and i feel really moisturized when i wash it out. it’s very thick and kind of hard to apply but i found adding a little extra water to my palm helps it rub in easier. i know the packaging sucks and i shouldn’t have to take these extra steps but i did so here’s what i did to make the conditioner easier... well, possible to use. i took a bread knife and i just cut open the container and i used a spoon to put it into a little plastic jar like their face masques come in. then i just grab the conditioner with my fingers to apply it.

This is by far my favorite line of Shea Moisture products!! I love it! My only complaint is that the conditioner is too thick to for a pump bottle while the gel is too thin for a tub. I I always have to fight to get the conditioner out and end up squeezing it out of the bottle like toothpaste. The gel on the other hand has an oil-like consistency & it drips everywhere when I dip my hand it to use the product. If you could consider swapping the containers for the conditioner and gel (put the conditioner in a tub and the gel in a pump), it would be so much easier to use!!!

The product itself is great. But...trying to get it out of the poorly designed packaging is horrendous, I cannot believe that they put an extremely thick liquid, into a bottle with a tiny pump? The consistency is more suited to a Jar, like the gel oil is in, and then put the gel oil in to a pump?

I love this conditioner for my 3a hair. However it is SO difficult to get it out. I bought a squeeze bottle to put it in. A tub would probably be better. Maybe the gel in a squeeze bottle and the conditioner in a tub?
