My favorite first aid ever. It helps to calm your skin down after procedures such as professional peeling. Also if you have a sunburn or any kind of reaction on your face. I used it to protect skin around eyes when first started retinol treatment (even when I tried to put retinol further from my eyes, I still had some redness in the morning). I use it even on lips when they’re too dry or cracked.

This is a thick balm that feels heavy like vaseline. In the winter my skin becomes chapped and dry and this prevents that. I put it on before bed so it soaks in. I have had no breakouts from it.

The key ingredient in Hydra Balm is petroleum / Vaseline which is a byproduct of crude oil after the refining process. Beeswax and organic olive oil is a great all-natural alternative.

This is the only skinceuticals product that really fails for us. My husband has medication related skin issues that make his face look sunburned all the time and dry. He is constantly itching. We’ve been trying everything as many lotions irritate his skin more. We’ve tried all sorts of recommended remedies. This gel, it is like a gel, sits on his skin and makes his face feel sticky he says. He says it is dry but still feels like a sticky coating. When I touch his face it doesn’t feel sticky, but it feels like he has a coating. I don’t know how else to describe it. Either way, his redness has not improved and it’s not moisturizing his skin.

During the winter, my skin is especially dry. On top of that, using retinol makes for a red, sensitive, dry mess. This has changed things considerably. I wake up with my skin hydrated. I will never not use this in winter or post procedure.

I went to a dermatologist and two estheticians trying to figure out what was wrong with my skin. It wasn't until I tried this that my dry, flakey skin got some relief. My skin was randomly red around my mouth/nose (it got so much worse when I was pregnant) and this product saved me.
