submitted bySuaveExpert - 8 years agoBrand expertA: I know this is old as in 3 years old but my son had a lice problem and we went to a professional to remove the eggs so I wanted to post a answer to this from what I was told from this pro. Rosemary or any kind of mint is a preventive BUT IT'S NOT A TREATMENT As this will not KILL THE EGGS YOU NEED THEM REMOVED BY A PRO! Also if you're looking for a everyday shampoo for preventive of lice this works as a shield barrier. The professional told me at the lice pro place said tea tree oil makes the hair itch even worse and is drying to the scalp. But again this can prevent lice as a protective barrier but should not be treated for the eggs as again will on kill the eggs. You need go to a PRO to remove the eggs because they've special treatment that kills the eggs and they use a special lice picking comb. Also fun fact water doesn't kill lice you need to put all pillows and wherever you or your child has been laying in the dryer on high heat. Lice can survive in the washing machine!

I love this shampoo and its matching conditioner, I just really wish there was an option to not have a pump. My hair length is past my bum and it’s a waste of time, water, (and product left in the end), to pump 15-20 pumps for ONE wash! Repeat if using conditioner! Yes there’s a pump free bottle but you can only get them in the dual pack with conditioner now?

I’ve never been one to have sensitive skin even for my scalp are. However after using this shampoo I was experincinh scalp irritation and a burning sensation after showering. I even started to get tiny acne like bumps around my hairline. I didn’t realize this is the only new product in my haircare rotation, and the burning always starts right after showering and not through the day. If you happen to use this shampoo and notice something feeling off I would bet it’s the ingredients being too harsh on your scalp!

I wanted to like this shampoo as it's silicone and paraben free and has a fairly short ingredient list and have tried it several times hoping for different results but every time I've used it I get the same result- an irritated itchy scalp (not dandruff) and excessive hair loss while rinsing and combing hair after- I have fairly thick normal hair and only have these issues with this shampoo so obviously there is an ingredient causing it. I switch back to my regular shampoo American Crew Deep Cleansing and don't have any of these issues.

Somewhat better priced than other similar products with different brands. Smells good but the scent does not last more than 30 seconds after being washed with water. Also, my scalp is itching more up front. I am not sure if its from this shampoo but I will give it some more time and either continue ot discontinue based on overall performance.

I'm very hesitant to oder anything with "parfum" or fragrance in it, but needed shampoo and couldn't find the old natural brand Infinity, that iI used to love. This doesn't smell like rosemary to me, more like a generic herbal smell, but not overpowering like every other shampoo I've gotten with "Parfum"in it. It actually contains real rosemary extract, so I'd prefer it if they left out the Parfum, but the results were awesome, so will keep using it. It really fluffed out my hair, made it seem like twice the hair I had before shampooing. I always use a little very diluted conditioner as a leave-in product after shampooing, so did not have tangling or frizz. But I definitely would with any shampoo if I didn't do that.

Started using this shampoo/conditioner set and began noticing flakes/dandruff along my hairline. I changed nothing else and it started right after switching so I am sure it is this.

6 pumps needed but lather is still not good enough. It took me a while to get the pump working. Recommend to get the non-pump version & the one with keratin.

I've used this shampoo on and off my whole life and it's the only thing that works for me. Other shampoos leave weird residues or make my hair oily or flat. This one is kind of drying but it's perfect for me. If you have super dry hair, go for something sulfate-free. However, this shampoo works perfect for me; just wish the smell was a little stronger and they kept the squeeze bottles. The pump ones are clean and convenient but I prefer the squeeze ones. Here is my hair slightly damp and dry.

I have used this shampoo for many years. So disappointed that they switched packaging to a pump. The pump makes it harder to hold in the shower and it's prone to clogging. Will be switching to a different brand.
