What fan doesnt spin and its quiet but not how they hype it up to be. Ok at sale price

Exceptionally efficient. Unobtrusive styling, delightfully quiet on lower settings, not obnoxiously loud on high. Easily moved with a well placed handhold. Energy savings is greatly appreciated.

It works really well as a refreshing fan, but extremely overpriced. It is a fan, it does not have any “cool” setting.

I originally purchased the larger model of this fan and was quite impressed at its quietness and quality. Given that experience, I ordered this smaller model. Was disappointed to discover that the electrical connection on the bottom of the fan fell out on assembly, and on turning it on, I discovered that it is as loud as a conventional fan, even at lower levels.

I love how well this fan circulates air in my bedroom. It's very lightweight and keeps a low profile. My only issue with it is that it frequently makes a high pitched whirring noise on any level over 50. Considering that I bought this fan specifically to help cool my bedroom during the summer nights here in California, this is a very annoying issue. It's woken me up on several occasions. So far the only solutios that have worked are: (a) keep the speed setting low, which limits how well it cools the room, or (b) keep it off at night, which defeats the purpose of having it in my bedroom.

I've sworn by Vornado fans and humidifiers for decades. In fact, my fans are all decades old and still performing strongly and quietly. I purchased the NGT33DC to circulate the air in an exercise loft above my bedroom, where of course the warm air rises. Whereas Vornado's fans have a cone-shaped air-circulating profile, the circulator has a very narrow profile. It cools the immediate area a bit, but certainly not the entire space. And while the fans have a low sound, the NGT33DC has a high, whiny sound and is not at all what I would describe as quiet. Luckily, the fan-wheel on my rowing machine drowns it out when I'm rowing. So does the FM radio if I turn the sound up enough. I don't think this is an improvement on Vornado's excellent fans.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since we have received the Vornado Energy Smart Tower Circulator, my family has absolutely LOVED it! We haven't gone a day without using it, and it is probably one of the best, recent items we have in our home as of now. When it arrived, I was so nervous it would be super heavy, bulky, and gaudy. However, it was very light, has a nice sleek design, and doesn't take up much room at all. It was extremely easy to put together (just base parts to main circulator and cords!) We love the simple "touchscreen" style tapping for turning the unit on and off, and adjusting the power of the fan. We currently switch it back and forth between our living room, bedroom, and playroom. It 100% circulates the air better, faster, and cools down a room so quickly as well. I do not worry having it in the playroom with my 4 year old because Vornado had safety in mind while creating this product! There is nothing to harm my child or anyone on this circulator and it is easy for children to use and operate as well. I will mention that the air circulation noise is relatively loud, especially if you blast it high (settings for 60 to 99). It is not a problem for us with the noise because we enjoy it! We use the hum of a fan to sleep with at night anyway, and this has become an even better replacement than a regular stand up or small fan. We are sleeping so much better and the room is cooler at night because of the circulator. We go on vacation very soon and have decided to take this instead of our stand up fan!! I am extremely excited to see how it works in our beach house with the excess humidity. I am sure we will be traveling with it during other vacations instead of an awkward stand up fan. The great thing is that it comes apart easily and fits simply in our car with no issues/bending/taking up much needed room. Overall we LOVE Vornado and their products! I don't think I have ever been as satisfied with an item before this Vornado Energy Smart Tower Circulator. Five star product!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Vornado Energy Smart Tower Circulator in my bedroom instead of the Honeywell fan that I have been using for the past three years. The Vornado Energy Smart Tower Circulator is a powerful yet quiet fan. I love the remote and the fact that the Vornado has 99 different speeds. The only downside to the Vornado would have to be how "touchy" the display buttons are to adjust the speed. It was almost impossible to get the settings I wanted and I found it much easier to use the remote. The Vornado Energy Smart Tower Circulator does an excellent job of circulating the air throughout the entire room. The design is sleek and modern. I would definitely purchase another Vornado in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This air circulator should not be confused with a fan. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it really works much better than a traditional fan. First of all, the design and aesthetics are very appealing and it looks good in most any room. The air velocity is adjustable from a gentle breeze to a full on blast of air. It's also almost silent at the lower settings where it will be set most of the time and not objectionable at the higher settings. The pattern of the air being discharged is also adjustable from a narrow beam to a wide spread fan. Similar to the operation of a ceiling fan, the air flow is designed to originate from the unit, travel the length of the room where upon hitting a wall, is redirected back toward the unit moving around most of the air in the room. It really does work when set up properly after you experiment with the settings and placement to achieve the desired results. I'm using this in my office space, where a few of us are semi cube style in a larger room. The air circulates and the stale, stuffy air is gone. I also like the timer function and remote control feature. Well worth it's cost as it's a work horse, well made and has a 10 year guarantee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Vornado NGT33DC tower is one powerful fan! The best part is that you have a very granular level of control over the fan speed (from 1-100.) I set this up in a 300sqft room and usually keep it on about 30. It can get loud when you turn it up to 100 but boy can it move some air! I think this could easily cool a 1,000sqft room. My only gripes are that the direction of the air is controlled by a manual turn dial (straight jet or V-spread,) not by the remote control, and there is no oscillation feature. Even with the air direction spread out, the coverage area is not very wide. So when my wife and I are sitting on the couch, 8-10 ft away from the fan, the air is hitting one of us or the other, not both.

I personally find it hard to sleep when I am hot, but after setting up my Vornado I have yet to have this problem. I love that I can set it to different speeds (there are 99 of them) and that I can also put it on a timer. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet the fan is, I often forget it is even on! The bottom line: I would definitely recommend this to a friend. (In fact I already have!) It's great for dorms, apartments, or anywhere you just need a little fresh air.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened the fan, I was not impressed and felt like it looked cheap with a lot of "fancy" settings that seemed useless. I am happy to report that this fan does an amazing job keeping our loft room cold! It's slender shape makes it easy to hide away in a corner and you can barely hear that it's there. I wish that it rotated but that doesn't seem to matter because it keeps the room cold even staying in one position.

I enjoy this fan for that purpose as its about as quiet as you can get and still move air around a room. Its sleek design is easy to blend into a room. Pros: * Quiet * Remote to adjust with a timer you can set in hour increments (Half hour would have been even better but its still a nice perk) * Fan has full horizontal width adjustments which can allow a wide range of settings. * Easy to assemble. * Can remove cover to clean with vacuum no filters to buy. I've used it in my master bedroom, in the main level living room, for my daughters sleepover, I love how it can be placed anywhere. It doesn't have to be out in the middle of the room to get the air to circulate properly. It fits nicely in the corner of any room and there's a dial to manage the way the air is pushed out into the room, the speed goes up to 99. It's very quiet and easy to adjust with out getting up with the remote control. Unlike other fans that I've had the buttons on the Vornado work easily with a light touch. I would highly recommend this fan to anyone looking for a quality item. It will not disappoint!

Works well so far and so easy to use my 2-year-old has figured it out and loves it. I do miss the oscillation, but the adjustable fan area almost makes up for it. Very nice compared to most tower fans and I would recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My initial impression is wow, this thing can move air. The air is strong and comes out in a sheet, it can be adjusted for a narrow or wider flow. I initially thought that the fan also had an oscillating function, and if I had one complaint, the lack of that feature would be it. I'm happy when any new item I receive requires minimal effort to setup. After unboxing the fan, I had it up and running within 5 minutes and no tools are required! The packaging was well thought out and everything came securely packed within the box. The only assembly involves putting the four feet together, which should be done before attaching it to the fan for the easiest setup. I'm a big fan (no pun intended) of the design and controls on the top. I like the subtle white led back light around the controls, and the soft blue color used for the speed display. I also like the modern look of the control buttons at the top. The actual footprint of this fan is very small, considering the amount of air that it moves, I was expecting it to take up a lot more room than it does. The fan is not as noisy as I was anticipating. On full speed in a large room it is barely noticeable. I think if it was being used in a bedroom, you'd likely have to turn the speed down as it could be a little distracting in a smaller room. However compared to other fans I have used in the past, I'd say it is below average as far as noise produced. Overall if you need a modern looking fan that takes up a small amount of space and moves a ton of air in a room, this is your fan. If you're looking for a fan to oscillate, for example to use outside or to cool a few people this may not be the right one.

The remote is super awesome to have, because it keeps me from getting up turning it off and on. Very easy to assemble, compact and light weight. The Vornado is one of the best fans I've ever owned.

It was super easy with out instructions (I am a guy). It took me about 20 seconds to figure out the settings and how to adjust the focus of the fan. It puts out a solid wave of air and you can focus it or widen the damper to hit a wider angle of the room. Its quiet and stable!
