Vornado EXO51 Small Heavy Duty Shop Portable Fan: Adjustable Tilt, 3 Speeds, Electric, Green, Desk & Room Use

I had a 633 medium circulator sitting on my window sill, occasionally taking on a few drops of rain, finally gave out after 5 years of daily use. This one is supposedly rated IP54, but gave out in less then 6 months. This fan is rated with a higher RPM than the 633, but moves significantly less air. I was disappointed with the performance right out of the box, but I figured I give it a go since it's rated IP54. Wrong move on my part. -_-;;

I needed a fan for my She Shed and wanted a USA company made one. I really wanted the cute retro looking one, but decided to go with the more protected one since the shed will have dirt and dust. It not only looks great but is very powerful. In our FL heat, this will come in handy.

Compact. Easily portable as it detaches from the base. High output.

Best fan ever. Offers great cooling on a hot day or night. Has 3 settings. Great to cool off a room. And I use it at night on warm nights.

We've got 3 of these in different sizes and styles - and I don't quite get how/why it works so much better than a regular fan but it really does! Very grateful to help during these blistering heat filled days!

small, sturdy. moves plenty of air. love the compact size. little noisy maybe for some but that is TOTALLY subjective and dependent on the environment. seems at least as effective as fans that are twice the size

I bought this to replace the larger model of it and thought this one would be a bit bigger than it actually is. I like it’s size and versatility.

I bought this for my daughter’s bedroom even after reading other reviews that it might be a bit loud to sleep with. As it turns out, I think it is a bit loud but my daughter likes the white noise since she goes to bed earlier than everyone else. Other than that, it’s a great, sturdy fan that that really moves the air.

I bought this fan to use outside by picnic table on hot days. However, the air flow was not high enough for thatpurpose. Now I use it on my work bench in garage, and that works well when standing close to it. It is well constructed and looks like it will last a long time. Just not what I was hoping for in this fan. Probably a mis-application of what it was designed for.

One thing i would like to see on all of your fans i have is a slower speed for night use. It would be much quieter on all models i have of yours.I have several of your orange/yellow floor model industrial unit's and now this one and the same head unit with tripod stand.

I like the versatility of it and the convenience of it's size. It is pretty powerful and has a nice airflow for it's size. It is very easy to set up and use.

It's supposed to circulate air up to 70 feet, and after turning it on, I certainly believe it. Ours is on Hubby's workbench in the garage, where there's no ventilation, no circulation, and it gets uncomfortably hot (especially in the summer). A friend smoked a cigarette in there, and within seconds of switching the fan on, there was no trace that she had ... smoke or odor. Nice to finally have cool, fresh air circulating in there.This fan has 3-speeds, and a heavy duty 8-foot power cord.

I don’t know why, but I always figured that standing fans were the strongest and best to get the most air moving, but this little guy proved me wrong. The Vornado EX051 looks like a standard small floor fan but with a big base. That big base (which comes detached - easy to put together) is what helps ground the fan when it really gets going so that it doesn’t dance across the floor! The box says it uses a special technology to move all of the air in the room. This seemed like marketing talk, but it turned out to be completely true! We tried it in a warm, stuffy room, and within minutes it was so much better. It only sat in one corner, didn’t oscillate, we didn’t move it around, it accomplished everything from that one spot. Pretty impressive. We only had to use the lowest of three settings, which means it’s even more powerful than that. It’s really well-designed - like I mentioned, it has a steel and not plastic bottom, so it’s much sturdier than a normal fan. The feet are also non-slip, which adds to that. The power cord is actually 8 feet, which is really convenient if your outlets are hard to reach or you want the fan in the center of the room. The head itself rotates all the way, 360 degrees, around, in case you do or do not want the air blowing on you in a specific direction. (For example, we use this when drying laundry - I air dry stuff and this speeds up that process sooooo much because I can point it directly at my clothes.) The only downside is the noise. It’s powerful, so it’s noisy. Even the lowest setting was a bit off-putting. But hey, it’s getting the job done, and it eventually just becomes background noise. Definitely glad I got this small-but-mighty machine! I imagine it will save us a good deal on AC bills this summer!!

It's the perfect size to put anywhere either indoors or outside and even though it's small it has plenty of power. It's easy to use, portable, and does exactly what I need it to. Couldn't ask for a better product. Highly recommend!

I set this little heavy duty air circulator up and its 100% cooler! It's small and light weight so it fits almost every where and is easy to carry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this fan a few days ago and it was very simple to put together it took about five minutes we like to sleep with the fan and this fan calls so good and you can feel the breeze on the other side of the bed it’s very high powered and it’s an amazing fan you can tilt it up and downIt’s got a nice unique design and doesn’t take up much space would be a good workspace fan but it might blow your papers all over the place I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fan like this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a solid 20" fan and was tired of the inconsistency in the various plastic bladed "box" fans that you find everywhere. I have a smaller Utilitech on my desk at work, and was glad to see they made a 20" fan. This fan moves some serious air, even on the Low setting. It really can't be compared to a regular box fan, the best of which can't move as much air on High as this one does on Low. I use it in the evening to bring cool air in from the outside (I don't have AC), and it cools off the house very quickly. The only downside is that it is somewhat loud, the price you pay for more CFMs. But I'm more than willing to live with that considering it's performance.

I put this in my living room and I was AMAZED how powerful this little fan was. It had the whole room cooled off in minutes. This fan is going to be great this summer!
