Q: Can this Wahl Lithium Ion Multi-Groomer - #9888-600 be used with shaving foam (wet-shaving) as well as dry shaving?

A: Since this unit does not specify "waterproof" like other WAHL shavers, I would NOT recommend this for wet-shaving. However, you could try it if you used very little shaving cream and did not let any fluids fall into the shaver body. Then remove the shaving head, rinse and dry it thoroughly. Better if you purchase a shaver that is specified as waterproof!

A: This Lithium Ion trimmer takes 60 minutes to fully charge to give you over 3 hours of run time. It does have a quick charge option - Quick charge means for every minute you charge the trimmer, you can get approximately 3 minutes of usage. For example, if you are in a hurry, charging for 3 minutes will give you almost 9 minutes of run time. It will not run while it is plugged in. Some of these negative reviews are honestly just user error. This thing is great. I was using an old Norelco for years is so underwhelming compared to the Wahl. This thing is super precise if you know what you’re doing. It comes with an attachment that is completely adjustable on its own so you never have to fiddle through different clips. It does take a while depending on what you’re doing, but it’s because the blades are smaller, equaling a more precise cut/trim. I also find it a lot harder to mess up your trim due to the smaller blades. It takes the trimmer a second to grab onto those hairs. At this price point, it’s a steal.

The quality is on par with clippers that are half the price of this one. This thing is much louder than its more expensive competitors, and not at all waterproof. There’s a lot of beard hair build-up happening beneath the removable clipper head. The guard design is fairly standard, which is unfortunate, because that was a big part of why I replaced my old one with this one. The guards do a poor job of combing the hair, especially when the guard depth is shallower than the width between the tines, leaving uneven hair length and stragglers. I wish I could return this thing but I already tossed the packaging, and while it’s not defective, I’m really unhappy with it. Fortunately, I received a waterproof Philips Norelco as a gift just days after I started using this one. Save up for the better trimmer and skip this one. You deserve it. This one has the big barber name on it, but not the quality you would expect.

This item is such an omprovement over the Wahl peanut that I have used for years. The number of accesories is vital to trimming a beard, the nose hair and the hair that grows in the ears. This item is a little smeller then the Peanut but its great advantage is that it is cordless which makes the use of it a lot easier. I loved my peanut but this trimmer is so much handier to use and charge!

It broke as soon as it touched my husbands head. Easy to put it back on and try again but I did that several times to try to finish the job. It also doesn’t shave anything, I could go back in the same area 10 times with it shaving nothing. Returned it broken
