I don't like that the operation/info panel does not light up to make a selection. I like that the exhaust motor is not tremendously loud. the under light could be brighter.

It fits perfectly, and even though it is not too high, it accommodates the dishes that we use, so it's a perfect fit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have contacted your Customer Service in early March to see how to get the alert sound at the end of the cooking cycle and timer cycle to sound OUT LOUD. She read me what I had read for myself in the instructions and then she concluded that the volume of the sound could not be changed. The installer says that because it "makes a sound at all" I am stuck with a microwave that no one can hear from across the kitchen when the room is silent, or no one can hear standing in front of it when water is running in the sink. It is only a tiny, tinny tinkling sound when a person stands in front, useless for when trying to prepare a meal or pause to read a recipe at the dining table, or heaven forbid, step into another room. I have personally missed the timer "alert" on several occasions that have cost me the food that I was preparing. The heating function seems to work adequately, but without the end of cycle sound and end of timer sound, this microwave is not worth much. I wish I could have my previous Hotpoint microwave back, because it had normal sounds like all the microwaves previously, and all the microwaves that members of my family have. I have had microwave ovens in my home since 1968 all with a bell or buzzer that was audible in the next room with the TV going and this is the first Whirlpool. It will be my last. What a disaster. I gave it an Average rating only because the hood vent does work and the oven does heat food. Basically it is unacceptable.

LOVE this microwave! It's truly been one of the most noticed features in my new home when guests come over. They're shocked by how short it is, but still has plenty of room inside. A d they LOVE the open button. They think it's fancy. LOL Absolutely quiet. Can hear a low hum when it's running. When it goes off, I usually have to figure out what the beeping is because I forgot it was running My only gripe with it is that it tends to burn my microwave popcorn. I've tried the popcorn button, tried just going for 2 minutes. Best results I've had is by bringing the power down to 80% and listening CLOSELY

This microwave replaced a standard full size over the range microwave providing significantly more clearance above the cook top, a big convenience for cooking. This was the primary incentive for replacing the previous microwave with a low profile unit. For our use the control panel needs to be illuminated. A backlit control panel or an LED strip inside the side face of the door opening would be useful to surface illuminate the control panel.

This low-profile over-the-range microwave is perfect for saving space while still offering powerful performance. Sleek & Modern Design – The stainless steel finish looks fantastic in my kitchen. Quiet & Efficient – Runs much quieter than my previous microwave while heating food evenly. User-Friendly Controls – The touch controls are intuitive, making it easy to adjust settings. Great Ventilation – The built-in exhaust fan works well, keeping my kitchen fresh.

It looks great with all my other Whirlpool kitchen appliances. Safe to say, I am whirling and trilling with Whirlpool!!! If I can get my Whirlpool dishwasher working again, I will be elated.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this at the beginning of March of this year (2025), low profile works extremely well, lots of space below it, and very quiet. Love that the low profile microwave has an offset hinge as it is against a wall and only one size fits, this eliminates that issue. Other microwave widths just wouldn't work. I hope this is my last microwave as this is my fourth one in 33 years. Hope it works like my whirlpool dishwasher which is now 22 years old and working just fine. Also have a whirlpool washing machine. I had GE and Samsung microwaves, they all fell apart literally, plastic broke, handles broke, doors broke. Sticking with whirlpool for all appliances going forward. Eyeing up a whirlpool oven next. Thanks Whirlpool.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I l-o-v-e this microwave!! I've wanted an off-the-counter microwave for some time now but I didn't want a big OTR microwave. I was so happy to see that there is now the "slim" microwave and it is beautiful - so sleek and modern. Aside from it being so quiet I think my favorite thing about it is when it shuts off all you hear is a chime not that overpowering beeping or buzzing that some other microwaves have. Love it, love it, love it!!

My problem is that piece that goes under the turning plate inside the oven doesn’t seem to work very well. It also broke in my hands when I was just observing it. I tried to order one through customer service and that was a nightmare.
