I bought this toaster, as a replacement to our previous Zeillibg toaster which lasted almost 10 years. This one is a lemon. It never toasts evenly regardless of the setting selected, it’s either not toasted or burnt. There is also a crack on the plastic, as others have indicated. Now the push down lever is impossible to move. I need to put a wooden toast tong to push it down and then struggle with it to get it to stay down. Complete waste of money and couldn’t be more disappointed.

A beautiful but dangerous toaster. It gets so hot that you can't touch the outside of it. It was a gift, used one time only, so I'm hoping that I can exchange it for one that works properly, as I didn't get a receipt and no longer have the box.

When you do a lot of toasting back to back or on higher settings then the outside can get hot. I am loving my new toaster from Zwilling. The slots are long enought to toast long slices of bread and it looks fantastic on my counter. The settings allow you to get the perfect brown color on your toast and a great crunch. Great purchase.

I haven't completely decided. IAs soon as I took it out of the box I saw a dent in the front of it. Decided to send it back without using it. Too expensive to keep an expensive toaster with a dent. I am giving it a second try and ordering it again.

Ended up returning this toaster for the following reasons (1) the sides of the toaster get EXTREMELY HOT. You cannot touch the sides or you'd be burned. Too dangerous with kids in the house. (2) whole unit felt very cheap, didn't sit flush on the counter, wobbled back and forth, the up and down handle was very loose and felt doomed to break.
