Using this large ceramic jar as a wet garbage holder for cleaning veggies. Opening does not block my medium sized hand from putting in a ziplock bag or removing a full bag from the jar. It is well made and easy to lift due to the design. Although lid sits on the inside rim of the jar, the lid is heavy enough that pests do not seem to be able to get in. There is also a silicone washer around the inside of the lid so the lid sits flush with the opening. However, it is not a tight seal.

had for like around a year. has some silicone around the lid but it is not truly air tight. got initially for grains but now holds snacks (the grains got weevils and now im traumatized) removed 1 star because online photo of it seems white but it is actually a creamy warm light beige color which is not what i wanted but it is still very nice and does its job.
