It does have the cooling function to it which i like but i used strictly water based products due to my dry skin , What throws me off about this product is that it says the main component of ingredients is water based but seems more silicony 😞 i know this is what threw my makeup off and made it look cakey , will be sticking to the hydro grip wasnt worth the try :( silicone and my water based foundation and concealer dont mix , dont know what it was but it seemed like my makeup wasnt gripping to this primer right !

I didn’t love this as a base, it didn’t really do much to make my makeup last. It was hydrating and I think if you want to skip some skincare steps and use this to save time it would be good for that.

Leaves a good finish with only the very slightest of scent that does not overpower so I found that pleasant. My makeup went on pretty smoothly after use although I don't know that it lasted much longer. Overall a nice product!

It does seem to moisturize but didn't prevent the foundation from caking. This would be adequate for a low budget primer but wouldn't recommend if you were doing a full coverage look.

Ladies, I am an elf woman. DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Almost everything I wear for the last 7 years has been elf. It does not fill your pores. It doesn’t give porcelain skin. I am so sad to say this because I looooove elf. Get the poreless putty prime instead.

I do not love the packaging, and you are constantly having to rub it all over your face. I doubt that is very sanitary. I do not find that this has a scent and do enough for me to love it, but I do enjoy it for hydration.
