It's a good garbage can. The size is nice...big, but not overly huge. I like that you can step on the pedal to open the lid, so it's hands-free. The lid did crack the other day, but it's a tiny crack right where it connects to the flap that lifts the lid. But it's so tiny and doesn't affect the functionality. The trash can does hold onto odors, though. We use garbage bags, but still have to wash it often because it traps smell...especially the lid. But overall, it's a good trash can and I will buy another one when the time comes.

Used to work perfectly fine. Now, when I step on the pedal, the lid does not lift up. The part that lifts the lid is now cracking part of the lid. When I press with some force, the lid just pops off the hinge. Doesn’t matter if I have a garbage bag on it or not. Really wish this was more durable!

I bought this for the second time 3 months ago thinking my husband accidentally broke the first one, I was wrong obviously. When I push the step it slams open or comes completely off. We are so frustrated with it but I can't go buy a third one.

Lid broke immediately due to the locking mechanism failing so each time we would try to open it would lock itself which caused the plastic to break, really disappointed. Also does not contain smell
