Q: It's one thing to be airtight for dry goods, but another for brown sugar. I'm tired of my old one letting the sugar harden. Is this tight enough to prevent brown sugar's moisture from evaporating?

Q: Are the lids for the 4x4x4 and the 4x4x8 exactly the same? Do empty containers nest in a compact way to maximixe off-use stacked storage? Or is there a lot of dead space when storing them empty?

    Wonderful Way to Store Stuff

    I love the whole line of these containers! This size easily holds a whole pound of popcorn or half a pound of dried apples chopped small. You can put a whole 18oz. container of oatmeal (the smaller canister) into the next larger size, and I put my noodles in the next size up from that. Sturdy and square and stackable, not round or floppy, they are a very efficient and airtight way to store kitchen staples! In fact, they are so airtight that a container of popcorn that got pushed to the back of the cabinet and forgotten for six months actually got a tiny bit moldy, and you know how dry popcorn is! (I know that's a weird compliment, but I've NEVER had popcorn get any mold at all, so you can see how airtight these canisters are)

    Love the Product how it was packed for shipping Not at all.

    I love these containers and was in fear that they were gonna be discontinued so purchased what I needed to complete my cabinet organization. I was very happy that they arrived in one piece because the way they were packaged left lots of room for them to be damaged. There is no place on their site to notify them of the way something was received….the box was double yo triple the size needed and the plastic blow up filling had not been filled with air so everything was loose in the box. I would question further purchases based on this packaging or lack thereof.

    Airtight but not Bugtight

    They stack really well with other items in the collection, and I love how they retain their almost-perfectly clear look; however, I just had to throw all the items stored in them away because I found a variety of kinds of bugs inside the containers (some I access frequently, others I accessed only once to put the ingredients in). While they seem to be air-tight and bug resistant for a time, sometime in the two years I've had these they lost their seal, despite no visual cues indicating so. Most surprisingly, I found a large family of tiny beetles in a container with my dry pasta. Would be great for craft supplies!
