A: Hi - Great question. It is required that we perform drop testing for these plastic food storage containers from 3ft 3 times when empty onto a vinyl tiled concrete surface and the results are satisfactory. Q: Recently purchased this item and it has a plastic #7 which is known to contain BPA. How can we be reassured that this does not have BPA when mutilple reputable sites say to avoid #7 plastics?

While there may be plastics that fall into category #7 that do contain BPA, the plastics in this storage container do not contain BPA, and the containers have been tested to confirm that they are BPA free. LOVE this line of containers, redoing my entire baking pantry with them; superior stackable/modular shape to others (incl. the Brightroom "boxed set" that doesn't fit with these), more economical than other brands. Dropped 5 to 2 stars as Target stopped keeping up with demand; seems this size is also used for collectibles storage, sold out, now I'm stuck mid-project. Shipping unavailable + sounds dangerous to the product, and none in-store for hundreds of miles.
