Q: This item is listed as containing 1.6 lbs. The application instructions are in cups. Roughly how many cups of product are in 1.6 lbs.?
submitted by Jensownzoo - 2 years ago
A: Hi Jensownzoo! 1 cup of fertilizer weighs 1/2 a pound. Roughly 3 cups of fertilizer are in the bag. However, for potted plants, you want to use 4 TBSPs per gallon of pot size. For in-ground or garden beds, you want to use 1 cup per 10 square feet of soil surface. Please feel free to reach out to contact@backtotheroots.com with questions or concerns!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s too early here in NJ to use in vegetable starts but I put some in some of my houseplants and annuals. It has good ingredients and I like that it’s organic. The packaging is resealable and there’s no noticeable nasty scent after use. I’m hopeful it will give my plants a boost!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My knockout rose bushes are so ready for this plant food. They're finally sprouting little leaves since spring is here.. I apply a handful around the base of the roots then water and let it work its magic. I'm hoping the flower buds are bigger than last year and flower in abundance. The bag comes with a lot of the granular food so I'll be able to use in my garden once it's planted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently I had noticed my plants had slowed down growth almost to a halt. Well, the day after adding this plant food I immediately noted new growth happening on my plants and I could see they are standing a little taller as well! I really appreciate how easy it is to use. When I am done, I just zip up the top and put it away for next time! I didn't notice any gross smells or anything so that was another pleasantry for me. Thank you Influenster for the free product for review!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fair amount of product for the price. The packaging is resealable, which I appreciate. It doesn't have much of a scent. Kind of smells like bunny food, haha. Clear instructions on how to use it. It says it's fully plant based so + for that on ecofriendlyness, however It seems like the packaging isn't recyclable. I just planted some seeds for this season and sprinkled some of this stuff in. Excited to see how well it qorks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is durable! I am excited to try this for my plants! The growth of the nutrients that this has will be effective for bigger and healthier plants. Has no scent and that to me is showing it’s good for plants and the value for the size is great too.

This organic plant food as ruined my vegetables/ plants. I have no idea what's growing in the soil. There is something like mold or fungus that's growing from the plant. I'm so scared that whatever this is can be harmful to my family. A previous review mentioned having the same problem. I don't think this is safe at all.

Bad smell and didn’t improve the plants at all. In fact the plants treated with this “plant food” did worse than the plants not treated.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a garden year around. Back to the roots to feed my plants all year. The jalapeños and other pepper plants really seem to take the best with the plant food. The tomatoes as well. My plants are always healthy and the vegetables taste great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Back to The Roots Edibles plant food is giving my plants that extra bit of nutrients they were needing. It’s very easy to use, and what I really like is that it is natural and organic made from 100% Plant and Mineral Based. I used this for my mango and my avocado trees. I can’t wait to see long term results but they seem to be sprouting up and growing much bigger since using this. The roots are definitely stronger because they held in from the hurricane. This is great cause I know my plants are getting organic plant food and I won’t be putting unknown chemicals in our food. Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every year we plant a garden and we seem to get good results. I got this plant food to try and so far I think it's been really helping my plants grow. I like that it's safe for the veggies we planted. It seems to really help the plant and the soil. I've been using it as directed and am very pleased with it so far
