You want to dilute the plant food in a watering can by adding 1/2 cap (5 mL / 1 tsp) per quart (liter) of water, and for best results, apply every 10 to 14 days. Works much better in soil because once it absorbs, you can’t really smell it. Be careful when pouring because it can stain, so wipe it up immediately if you spill it. It clearly works, because my monstera hadn’t put out any new leaves in the two months since I got it, but as soon as I used this stuff, it put out a new leaf. My pothos is growing like crazy now, too.

I followed the directions to mix the recommended solution amount with water and fed all of my plants. The directions are very simple, and there were no adverse effects to the plants. Still too early for the full effects but I feel this is helping them. it’s cost effective for the amount you need to make a batch and you just water your plants as usual. So happy Influenster offered this plant food at the right time for my plants.

I have used this fertilizer on every one of my houseplants including my water propagations. Everything grows like crazy with this fertilizer, but I can't get past the smell. I put a very small amount in my water propagations (about a quarter of the dilution it calls for when watering) and it STUNK!!! I put up with the smell until a nasty film built up on the top of the water and I was unable to sleep in the same room as the smell. Two stars instead of one just because this stuff really does work (my monstera grew five new leaves this week), but hold your breath using this stuff and maybe try watering your plants at a time when you won't be home for a bit Note: my bottle has not bloated like many of you have mentioned, so I don't think there's anything bacterial

It smells HORRIBLE like sewage! Now my house smells! Can’t find expiration date on bottle. Maybe I’ll use on outdoor plants since I paid $12 for this.

Horrible stench hot immediately when opening the bottle, and smelled foul even after diluting in water to use on my plants. Would linger in my living room for hours after watering so I threw it out.

I thought I should leave a review to counter all the posts regarding the bad smell. I purchased the bottle in store. It was not bloated, so perhaps that makes a difference. I purchased this mainly because I did not want to use my smelly fish emulsion on indoor plants. I didn’t notice a foul odor. I am sensitive to smells and did not detect anything out of the ordinary.

As others have said, this smells TERRIBLE. I grew up in the country around lots of compost and chicken manure, this smells SOOOO much worse and now my entire house smells just from opening the bottle. It looked normal enough when I bought it, when I went to feed again a couple of weeks later the bottom of the bottle was completely rounded and bloated, and upon opening it released some gas. Some sort of bacteria is growing in there. I went ahead and watered my plants with it but now I'm worried I've just killed them all.

This stuff is incredible. Yes, it stinks like liquid manure, but it’s like steriods for all my plants. They’ve grown so much I have to repot. I had a dying hibiscus that nearly lost all its leaves and this stuff is making the branches grow even with no leaves. You only need a little tiny bit mixed in water. It does not make the plants stink, you can’t smell it once it’s been watered. None of these organic liquid plant foods smell good so it is what it is. But I am more than pleased with this stuff!!

The bottle was massively bloated when I purchased it (they all were) which should have been the first red flag. This stuff STINKS - I grew up on a farm and this stuff is possibly the worst smell I've ever smelled, which says a lot. It's enough to make you gag. I have no idea why they'd advertise it as "low odor". Smells like straight up raw sewage and rotten cheese. I used it because I wanted plant food (/fertilizer) and I figured based on the smell that this was basically super-concentrated manure in a bottle. Red flag #2. We are now two days post-use, and it is killing my plant. I'm heartbroken.

Smells really bad. The bottle has been sitting it seems and bloated. It’s brown and I’m not sure what I expected but the smell really got me.
