BISSELL CleanView Swivel Pet Reach Upright Vacuum Carpet Cleaner - 3198A: 3-Year Warranty, 13.5" Path, Pet Hair, 25' Cord

We bought this vacuum less than a year ago and use it once or twice a month. There has been no rough or mis-handling of the vacuum. The handle on the wand has broken off. Which means that you have to hold on to the plastic handle and the metal wand at the same time while you're pushing and pulling the vacuum to make certain that the handle does not come off of the wand. It's very awkward!! The belt broke recently with very light use. And all but 2 of the rubber teeth on the pet hair attachment tool have broken off. We have not misused or abused this vacuum. I have used this vacuum less than any other vacuum that I've ever owned. I have owned other bissells with no issues at all except for general maintenance (a new belt here and there, cleaning the brush rollers..ect.) over years of time.. I have never had this many issues with any other vacuum or steam cleaner of any sort!! Never! This vacuum will cost me more than $60+ over the retail price with light use and proper cleaning/storage, in less than a year of ownership of any other vacuum/steam cleaner that I've bought in the last 25 years.. I ran my own daycare for 12 years and used vacuums and steam cleaners extensively during that time.. I have never had this many issues with any other similar product, including Bissell products.. Maybe we just received a bad one?? That is possible I suppose.. But, I have never felt as though, "Maybe I should just buy a whole new vacuum??" after only owning this vacuum for less than a years time... It doesn't seem right to me..

My previous vacuum broke after 5 years and I specifically wanted one that swivled and this one is great! I love that it has the bristles on the side which helps suctioning dirt on the side when vacuuming onthe sides of the wall, I also like how easy it is to switch from vacuuming to using the hand held suction. I also love that it lightweight and quieter than my previous vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Bissell Vacuum is our new downstairs, higher traffic area vacuum. It replaces an older Dyson vacuum that did well but is tired. The new Bissell is a fantastic deep dirt sucking machine! It's hard to believe what this vacuum pulls out of your carpets! Awesome!

Would pickup pet hair on rug at level 5 but did so on level 4 and below. We have hardwood floors except for a rug. Worked well for 6 weeks then quit working and it was a broken belt.

This product works great for removing pet hair from low pile carpets. Reach wand is nice but can be awkward using on furniture. Item that needs improvement is there should be a setting to allow brush bar not to spin, especially when using reach wand. Limits where you can use unit, especially with wand extended and unit on area rug that could possible tangle in spinning brush bar. Can't use on small area rugs or certain carpet pile types, only low pile height.
