Most microwave instructions on food packaging is based on an 1100 Watt oven. I wanted something in that range and found this 1000 Watt unit. The 100 Watt difference is negligible and provides a $50-$100 savings over 1100 Watt units. It is very spacious and works very well. Black & Decker has always been a reliable brand and does not disappoint here.

Skip this microwave all together! The microwave function only worked right for 2 months. After that it heats everything unevenly and no longer beeps when the timer runs out. When I tried to use the air fryer function it cause my house to fill with smoke and smell like a fire. It’s too Late to return this fire hazard microwave to Target so I’m contacting Toshiba and praying there’s a recall. What a waste. This microwave is trash!

Sounds like a 20-year-old microwave that can barely keep up when it’s running. Same strength as our previous microwave but takes twice as long to warm things up. Would not recommend.
