Our Sorghum Flour, also known as jowar flour, is stone ground from 100% whole grain sorghum. It has a light color and texture and a mild, sweet flavor, making our white sorghum flour a popular alternative to wheat flour and a wonderful ingredient for gluten free baking. Sorghum is the third most important cereal crop nationally and the fifth most important around the world. After originating in Africa thousands of years ago, the grains spread through the Middle East and Asia via ancient trade routes, travelling to the Arabian Peninsula, India and China along the Silk Road. Today, sorghum remains a staple food in India and Africa and is growing in popularity in America. In fact, the sweet sorghum used to make sorghum syrup is grown in the American South, including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Sorghum flour is my first choice base flour in gluten free baking. it offers great texture (especially when blended with other flours) and good flavor--for both bread baking and dessert items. Slightly sweet and flavorful. It is also one of the "super-foods" added nutritional advantages to regular baking or gluten free fare.

Very new to using Sorghum flour and had tried recipes that indicated that you could replace regular flour to sorghum flour in a 1:1 ratio without much success. Just tried using the recipe found on the back of the package, tweaked to preference and am quite happy with the texture. The baking time was for 60 minutes at 350F and my Honey Banana Loaf came out a bit too burnt on the top & sides for my liking.

Best shorghum flour ever. I've been using it to make banana muffins since a couple of years ago and they always turn out delicious! Shorgum flour it's also a great source of iron and other important minerals, I highly recommend it

For years have used sorghum and spelt in place of white flour. Always brought your sorghum but now stores here don't carry it. They carry your other products but not sorghum so I am going to buy it on line from you. Also getting harder to find spelt and will start buying that from you on line. Also use your oat flour.
