Bodum 34oz Outdoor French Press: Manual Coffee Maker, Cool Touch Handle, Dishwasher-Safe, 8 Cup Capacity, Black

Was attractive and my favorite French press I’ve had.. for 3 months. Then it shattered while making coffee as I do every morning. I always heat my water to 180 degrees, never dropped it.. it has an easy life. Very disappointing. My other two presses lasted for a decade each.

They mean it when they say don’t use boiling, or honestly even hot water, I used it as normal for a while with no issues but after four months it has cracked so much that coffee leaks out of the bottom even if I let my water cool for 10+ minutes. Seems good if you use infrequently, not great for daily use.

I used this for six months (not even daily use) and then one morning I hear a popping sound when adding the hot water and it started leaking. I didn't drop or hit it. It was just the thermal shock of the hot water that caused it to crack.

Cracked after a few months. The glass beakers are the only useful french presses for any length of time, and why the company uses plastic now speaks to how they have downgraded their products in favor of planned obsolescence.

Already cracked after a month or two of daily use.

as others have mentioned, the lid doesn’t seal, so you’ll need to strain/filter your coffee if you don’t want grounds in it. i got a solid two months of use out of this before it became too cracked and leaky to use.

It cracked the second time we used it and started leaking. I thought the plastic would be less likely to break than glass but I was WRONG

Used less than 10 times and there is a large crack in the plastic so it leaks.

Like that it is dishwasher safe. It doesn’t seal, so there are always grounds in the coffee and it needs to be poured through a filter to get them out

This french press is lightweight, easy to use, performs as well as any french press I have used, and won’t break easily due to the plastic material used. I would use it more as a travel press. I personally prefer to use glass. Because of that preference, I’m only giving four stars.

The young press coffee maker is a great and easy way to produce delicious French press coffee. The price was easy to use, look beautiful on my countertop, and helped me make one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. I selected a great brand of coarse coffee to use and followed the directions on the package. The coffee was just the right temperature and had such Bold Flavor. The design and look of this coffee maker is absolutely gorgeous and very sleek and modern. I take this press with me when I travel, and I use it at home because it's convenient and small enough. I'm in love with this coffee maker and have told everyone I know about it, and have even made some of my friends and neighbors coffee with it, I sing it's praises.

This little French press is awesome. I love that it’s entirely made of plastic, which isn’t usually great, but it makes it the perfect camping piece! It’s sturdy enough to be thrown around with all the other camping gear and it’s held up extremely well. The mesh filter is very fine and does a great job keeping those grounds out of my coffee cup. Overall, very pleased with this product and brand!

I was so excited to get this! I love to make fresh coffee and this was so much easier for me to make strong and pour over ice for iced coffee! Would be awesome to use on the go or camping. I would definitely take it with me when needed. Also, very easy to clean! Only suggestion would be to grind your own bean more coarse. If the coffee is too fine, it will seep through.

The coffee press is well-made compared to some other presses I’ve had. The wrap around the glass seems durable and holds the glass well. It’s quite light-weight. The top does have a separate pour area. I like this so that I can turn it so not as much steam escapes. When I pressed the handle, it was a very gentle glide. After I poured my coffee there were virtually no grounds. It also comes with a scoop for measuring coffee. The only additional feature which would have been nice is an approximation marker for cups. I didn’t want to make 8 cups and needed to eyeball the measurement.

Love the design of this, and also the durability. Having a glass French press would be nice, but I have curious kids and that makes it difficult to keep nice things ;) This worked great for making just a few cups of fresh coffee, and cleaned up easily. We don’t drink a lot of coffee in it house, so it doesn’t make sense to have a full plug in coffee maker. This is a great solution!

We really liked this french press! It has a great sleek look. The glass cup does not slide out of the holder (an issue with our other french press). It is easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee. I noticed the plunger apparatus does not separate into all the pieces. I appreciated this but my spouse was concerned about complete cleaning. I felt like we can clean it completely, but this may bother some people. One other note, the lid seemed tight at first, but once there was hot water in it, we didn't trust it not to fall off while pouring. This could just be our specific item, but worth noting.

I decided this would be perfect to take camping. I had starbucks whole bean coffee that I coarsely ground and took with us. The taste was great! The instructing were easy. I had never used a French press before. However, about half way through the pot there were grounds in the coffee. Not horrible but not wonderful. I had ground the beans at the coarsest setting. It was still a nice thing to have camping. It's a beautiful pot that doesn't take up much room.

I'm not a huge fan of this coffee maker. I followed the instructions to a tee and my coffee still tastes watered down and muddy. The size is nice, the design is sleek, and I like how the parts are dishwasher safe but it isn't something I'll enjoy using in the future. My other French press by this brand gives me the same issues. I'd rather stick with my pour over method.

Before using this product, i thought the press coffee maker I already had was pretty good, but after using the Young Press Coffee maker, I realized I was wrong. The Young Press Coffee maker is sturdy, easy to use, easy to clean and makes good coffee. Both my husband and I really like how our coffee tastes when we use our new coffee press.
