I got this coffee grinder to primarily grind espresso for my Breville Infuser. It is fantastic. Super easy to set up. I watched a lot of videos to figure out how to dial in the machine but it’s intuitive. This is my first coffee grinder outside of a hand burr grinder. I have been using it for about a week, so I’m sure I’ll learn more as time goes by. I’m excited to use it for French press and drip grounds as well!

I bought this Breville Bambino going from the reviews I read. In my experience the Bambino is a sham, over-hyped and expensive. My DeLonghi $99 expresso maker did better at one third the price. First, the Bambino won't extract a hot espresso, Period. Second, it won't Auto extract the correct 1 cup or 2 cup, no matter how many times you reset it to factory settings. You have to extract manually, or it won't properly give a decent volume. I found this machine is not worth the effort to make a decent espresso. I tried different ground courseness, various tamping measures and amounts, I did everything and then gave up and ordered a Casabrew machine at 1/3 the price of this sham Breville. A Nespresso will kick the Bambino's butt when it comes to a decent espresso. Just my 2 cents.

i have used this grinder less than 18 months and had to repair it once. Now it is broken again; just spins but no grinding. It is very tedious to disassemble and repair. I will never buy it or any there Breville small appliance again

I make about two Lattes a day using my Breville coffee maker and until I purchased and used my new Breville coffee grinder I didn't realize how much better the latte was when I ground the coffee correctly. Allows a perfect grind for a perfect time. Also a lot cleaner to use. No mess.

The grinder itself is perfect -- easy to use and clean, while offering everything one would need. However, for Breville to NOT HAVE ENOUGH INVENTORY to cover replacement parts bothers us enormously! We "invested" in Breville, paying top-dollar prices, hoping that it would not be discontinued within a year or two, or not being able to purchase additional and/or REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE LIFE OF THE ITEM, which, unfortunately, is not the case. Breville people, PLEASE STAND BY YOUR PRODUCTS for the LIFE OF YOUR PRODUCTS, by making the parts available! Is that not the real reason you (Breville) designed and manufactured a great product?

I have three of these grinders, one works well. The other two do not grind per the settings. I switched the upper gear with one of the machines and that seemed to fix the problem.. However, I can't seem to find the replacement upper gear for sale anywhere. I need a fourth grinder and looking at other options.

Purchased this grinder based on YouTube and articles feedback. No regrets. Finally see crema when dialing in an espresso with this grinder. You will have to do several trial and errors to get the right grind size setting for type of bean used so don't get discouraged if you don't get good results the first few tries. Purchased fresh roasted beans Guatemala origin and grind size 5 finally gave me the results. Hoping the grinder last quite a while. Thanks Breville!

Worked well for period of time but froze up and would not rotate. Had to dismantle and remove the conical grinder and components to the bare shaft- I then had to dig and remove the packed compacted coffee from below the cone and the downstream chute.. The chute required several attempts with bent wires to remove the coffee. For reference I have both an 860 and 870 espresso maker The grinder was purchased to address the failure of the 860 grinder assembly, which has since died for other reasons. It is nice that you can now remove the grinder components.

Total piece of plastic junk. Too much technology for technology sake. The “grind time” setting is arbitrary and inaccurate. Especially for filling espresso basket even from Breville. Inconsistent every time. Too much static build up on coffee grounds for both espresso basket but especially the bin for regular coffee. It makes a HUGE MESS. I had the older version of this for over 15 years. It just died. The old one was so much better - quality of materials and simplicity. This one makes me san and frustrated every morning when I use it - it’s a battle to get correct amount of coffee and then to keep things half way clean from coffee grounds. DO NOT BUY IT

This is my first burr grinder and I love the removable base and magnetic clips for easy cleanup. The only thing I struggle with is the cord is super short. It's so short that it can't pull out from under my upper cabinets which makes getting beans in the hopper tricky.

I had this coffee grinder for a couple of months now. No major problems. The oversized bean hopper is nice as it reduces the frequency of refills. One problem that we detected is that the grinding time and grinding size, seem to be out of sync with our Barista Touch espresso machine. When we select the same settings on both devices, and using the same coffee beans and portafilter, the results are different. Nothing that a minor adjustment can't fix, but still a difference. Other than that, we are happy with it.
