A: Round filters are used in the basket on this brewer. Note that although any round filter will work, a taller round filter works best. We suggest the BUNN filters since they have the added height (https://www.target.com/p/bunn-8-12-cup-coffee-filters-600ct/-/A-79549949#lnk=sametab) but again, any round filter will do the job.

Q: Why does this new BUNN spew coffee grounds over the filter in the basket and on day 2 of use grounds around the plate and unit itself? This is the 3rd BUNN to spew coffee grounds in one year. What is wrong?

Q: Can you just make a 5 cup coffee amount or does it always have to be 10 cups.

A: BUNN brewers only brew as much coffee as the amount of water poured in, so you do not have to brew a full pot each time. Please note: the Specialty Coffee Association definition of a "cup" is 5 oz. and is the benchmark measurement used by BUNN to determine the number of cups a carafe holds. BUNN carafes are branded "10 cup" by the 5 oz. definition. Of course, actual coffee cup sizes can vary.

A: Yes, this model has a glass carafe that sits on a warmer. The warmer can be manually turned on/off. The thermal carafe models do not use a hot plate, example: https://retail.bunn.com/55200.0000

This is our second one of these brewers. First one lasted close to 10 years, used daily. Brews full pot in about 5-10 minutes, American made, well worth the price.

Miss my old Bunn coffee maker. New one takes longer, no auto shut off, and can't sneak a cup while brewing. Good coffee, but prefer cheaper brand. Bunn lasts longer and great for serving guests.

If you like having a big mess all over your counter in the morning purchase this Bunn. What a cheap piece of crap that does not work right. Like other reviewers Bunn used to be amazing, they must have sold the company and now it is made very cheaply somewhere else👎👎

Let me begin by writing that I have used Bunn coffee makers for over 35 years and my last Bunn lasted 15 years…I love Bunn coffee makers! BUT… the last two Bunn units I bought and used in the past month BOTH spewed out coffee grounds all over the machine itself as well as my counter top; not immediately but progressively more with each pot…I will not try a 3rd Bunn! I want to add that losing my Bunn coffee maker breaks my heart and I am sad that Bunn allowed one of their best products to deteriorate to this degree!

I replaced a an older Bunn coffeemaker. with this newer model. Excellent ...which I have come to expect from Bunn after using them for over 30 years. Basic sleek style. Quickly & quietly makes a great cup of coffee.

I've waited a year to do a review I don't think within a few days you can really tell how a product will hold up. This coffee maker has held up great! No issues with any parts makes coffee extremely fast which I appreciate I do however find the "setup" to be odd if you're not use to a Bunn coffee maker. Now the downside I've noticed my coffee isn't as hot as it use to be when I first got it the coffee would steam and almost burn your tongue now I can drink it without having any issues. I'm not sure what's going on with mine. I've did all the cleaning and upkeep but I am looking into another coffee pot option. I had a Keurig and it lasted 10 years so I did expect this Bunn to be much better quality than that. I love it but I am slightly disappointed about the temperature.

Very basic for the price. Does not brew a hot cup of coffee. Need to heat up my cup of coffee in the microwave every time I brew a pot of coffee. Warming plate does not even keep the coffee hot.

I the eight cup one, but it is the same design. Can’t live without this guy. Easy to set up, easy to use, makes great coffee, and is quality. Any malfunction is human in origin (ahem, my partner/husband.) Lasts forever. Bunn is the brand that the hospitality trade embraces. I hug mine all the time.
