Had just over a year and a few months ago the grinder stopped working. I thought it was the beans but Changed beans and cleaned and I still have to sit and watch it and try to get beans to go in grinder to grind. When I set it to brew in early am it doesn’t grind much if any and it’s basically hot water. I’m very disappointed as I love my kitchen full of cafe appliances but unfortunately this is a miss for me. Not worth the price to hardly work after a year.

So far so good, I have my own personal Starbucks in my home. The only downfall is that it didn't come with a coffee filter so will have to order them. The features and the fresh coffee !! This is just the beginning .

Overall, I like but don't love this coffeemaker. We left the Kreuig world because my husband enjoys freshly ground coffee. We also wanted to decrease coffee prices and be able to set the coffee for the next morning. This machine accomplished these goals but left me with other issues. Programing the coffee maker for delayed brew is easy, and the coffee stays hot for quite some time. The machine look is nice, and it's easy to clean. My complaints are that it's not easy to turn off if you accidentally start a pot when trying to set the machine for a later brew. I've had to unplug the machine several times to prevent brewing a pot. Also, finding replacement water filters is not easy. The strength settings are also not accurate, and if they are, there needs to be more information in the instructional guide on brewing the perfect pot. Even after cleaning the inside mechanism, I often find that we will get a weak pot for no known reason. I don't use the mug function because the single cups of coffee are always too weak. Not enough grounds are dropped. I'm sure that every machine has it's pluses and minuses so this pot is probably average to above average in comparison.

We’ve had it about a month and really like it so far. The grinder built in keeps from Getting coffee grounds all over the counter and it’s easy to clean. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that we have not been able to figure out how to disable the beep when it begins and finishes a brewing cycle. It is quite loud and wakes the kids up. I would love to know if this is even possible, we haven’t been able to figure it out!

What a marvelous machine. Bought it for the Gold Cup rating and was throughly blown away by the brewing features. Just add the coffee and water and tell it how many or few cups you want in the carafe, or if you only want to fill your mug. Just as wonderful as kuerig but without those pods, and you get fresh ground coffee made to your specific requirements. Also, the machine looks terrific. Like functional artwork.

I replaced a defective Capresso coffee maker with the Cafe. It is so superior in many ways. The components are much sturdier. It has more customizable features- temperature, strength setting and cup size. Easier to clean and more stylish. Couldn’t be happier with this unit

I chose this model for the thermal carafe, conical burr grinder, and automation features. The app and the way it looks on my counter were fantastic bonuses. My first cup brewed into a travel mug tastes great black…which says a lot coming from me?

It has only been a day or two since I set up my machine, but I have been very pleased with it so far. The coffee was excellent, easy to set up, and easy to use. We have owned all of our other GE Cafe' appliances for three years now, which seem to be working fine after we got past the first initial service issues with the refrigerator.

Overall, it looks great and functions very well! Features that I enjoy: built in grinder (not super loud), fill from the top water, insulated carafe. Things I don't like: it's tall instead of wide. Feel like the design could still look great a little less tall and a little wider. The buttons are the type that are covered by a plastic overlay that cracks over time if someone with nails uses it, for applications like this, a touch-screen or another format of button would've been ideal (especially for the price!). I haven't tried the wifi piece yet, but it seems super unnecessary. I don't know, maybe I'll fall in love with it.

Very well made coffee machine! This makes a great cup of coffee and I love the flexibility of being able to brew a single cup or full carafe. I just wish there were less plastic components, namely the water reservoir and coffee ground basket assembly. Would also like the carafe to be modified so water doesn’t get stuck in the lip on the inside. I almost returned it for the plastic reason. Otherwise, really awesome machine that makes delicious coffee!

It grinds way too long and produces too much grounds. It ground for 24 seconds and produced 13 scoops of grounds for a 10-cup carafe on the light setting when we would normally use 5 scoops. Coffee is ridiculously strong, basically feel like I’m drinking espresso. Switching to medium and bold adds approximately 2 seconds to grind time. Gold time was about the same time as medium. All measurements were done with grind size in the middle between course and fine. Switching to course isn’t going to make a significant difference in the amount of grounds produced, it’s just way too much. Please reach out to us. Excluding the grounds problem, love everything about this coffee maker. It just makes undrinkable coffee because it grinds too long.

DO NOT PURCHASE. Read all of the bad reviews first. Water very frequently leaks out of the bottom of the water reservoir. This is a machine that costs several hundred dollars. Way to expensive of a device to have a such a clear design fault. Read the reviews and you will see that MANY people have this exact same issue. I reached out unfortunately in month 13 and it only has a 12 month warranty and of course they will not stand by it. Do not buy this coffee maker.

In fairness we only have used in the last 24 hours for the first time. The coffee is amazing, nice and hot and for us the perfect brew (we have set at 3 on grinder and Gold). It looks very nice and I do love the water tank that can hold a good amount and no need to continually fill. Of course depending on how much you use and drink. I did experience the leak when we first set up, which was super easy to fix, it was due to us not having he charcoal filter in properly. I am glad I purchased. My only real complaint is that we can not find any information on how to use the single cup filter, how to put into basket, or anything about it even in the list of items in the box!
