Our Calphalon Precision Control Air Fryer Toaster Oven does have the airfrying option while the one we have on our website namely, Calphalon Quartz Heat Countertop Oven, Dark Stainless Steel does not have this option but air frying is similar to convection cooking, with hot air being circulated around the food. You may use the bake or roast function and cook using the turbo setting in this oven instead. For best results, flip your food halfway through cooking to have even browning.

I ahve used and loved a very similar model Calphalon oven like this for years. The buttons on this one, at first glance, look identical. But they are not and way not as functional. There is not a keep warm setting anymoe and the middle button is "turbo". I much prefer the old function layout. And my old one was stainless. I thought this black one would look nicer, but at any temp setting 400 plus - the paint STINKS!!!! That mkes this way less useful. Can no longer bake potatoes in it for example. Wish I had not bought it.

Worked fine and we were happy with it for the past 2 years. Then the "Start" button broke off. It is attached by 2 flimsy plastic clips to a metal bar behind it. Called Calphalon and was told that they DO NOT MAKE PARTS AVAILABLE. Can't find our receipt so we are out of luck for any warranty claim. Treat those buttons gently!

This oven was great when it worked well, but that only lasted 22 months. The top heating elements now no longer power up, making it nearly useless. I paid a premium thinking calphalon appliances would be of the same quality as their pots and pans, but this is clearly an area they would stay out off. I now have a $240 piece of junk, with no real repair options.

Whomever designed and approved the buttons needs to be fired. They literally had to reject hundreds of other options to arrive at this design. Literally an Achilles heel on an otherwise great product.

Tried to initiate a warranty claim just now, but the Data Code on the metal prong does not match the pattern in Calphalon's database. Now we are stuck...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this product just over a year ago as a gift. It has been failing already for a few months now. We kept receiving an E02 error when using it on Air Fryer. We unplugged and it plugged it back in and moved it to a few locations around our kitchen. Now the whole appliance no matter what setting gets the same error and it is completely unusable. We have to pay for shipping back to Calphalon but they will replace it. I would never purchase this product for myself.

Bought this 8/14/23 and we liked it just fine until earlier this week. Thought kids messed with the temp settings but figured out today - 8/16/24 - that the top heating element has stopped working. One year warranty. NOT happy now. Can it be replaced??

We have been very happy with the purchase of this oven. We use it for about 95% of our cooking. The only reason for the minus of one star, is because the start and cancel/off buttons need a better design. After about the first year, they started popping off if you don't push them correctly. Other then that, this oven is great. Much better than firing up our big oven.
Pricey, doesn’t last beyond 2 years.

Purchased approx. 2 years ago. Perfect size and easy to use. Unfortunately, the roast setting failed at about 14 months. Now at two years the top heating elements have failed. My last toaster oven was a refurbished Black and Decker and lasted 15 years. Tired of expensive products that don’t last. Will not purchase Calphalon again.

This toaster oven makes me want to scream into the nearest pillow. The one I purchased has this nifty little feature that makes utterly no sense in my culinary brain. You select the type of cooking…like bake, roast and then you set the temp and specifics and walk away as it preheats. My favorite part? The part where I come back a few minutes later thinking the oven is now ready to roll but alas, it has turned off and is nowhere near temp because it turns off when it reaches temp if you don’t then immediately select “start”. Why in the world would an oven have this “feature”?!? If I turn the oven on and select all of the particulars and then wait for it to preheat, YES, I WANT IT TO KEEP GOING AND NOT TURN OFF AND SUBSEQUENTLY COOL DOWN. Without a doubt the dumbest feature I have ever found in any type of cooking device and I have had maaaaaannnnny. The air fry feature I have never attempted because why would I? The toast feature is simply an exercise in patience. The amount of times I have been late leaving my house due to toast making is a very high number while the resulting toast has been very disappointing. It seems to toast mainly from the lower elements and while settings 1-2 are similar to cooking the item with wishful thinking, settings 4-7 (I literally just learned it goes beyond 4 right this moment) result in dental work. 3 is the sweet spot, but not just 3. It’s 3 until the time runs out, flip and then 3 again, making you late for any appointment you might have. The rage that this toaster oven has caused has resulted in my husband literally putting it outside the door with the request to “please just buy a new one”. Why I dragged it back and kept using it is a topic for another day.

I'll get to the point, cleaning it can be somewhat difficult. The metal guard over the bottom heating light corroded over the course of a year. Can't seem to find a replacment part and customer service has not repsonded to my request. I use it about one or two times a week to cook my veggies for meal prep.

Bought it for the air fryer feature, which shouldn’t even be an option on there because it doesn’t work. All of their features work fine. Miss my air fryer basket that works great !

So far I have only used the air fryer and bake setting and it does not seem like it heats things evenly. I also air fried some nuggets and they were soggy even after letting them cook for double the time.
