I had been using Crest for 20 years but my gums kept receding. Crest contains a stannous chloride but Colgate contains a zinc phosphate which is 10000X more effective. My gums stopped receding & actually firmed up a bit.

Stop changing the toothpastes if any of them really does what suppose to do people would not have to go to the dentist.

The toothpaste is a pretty standard mint with no aftertaste, but your mouth is left feeling clean for quite a while afterward!

It leaves a strong minty taste that lasts for a significant amount of time, and I can see that it has whitened my teeth. I don't have any dental issues, but I insist on having long-lasting fresh breath, and this toothpaste delivers exactly that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Colgate toothpaste is very different from other brands that I have tried. The tube is not super stiff and I like the easy open cap. I immediately noticed that the toothpaste has clean mint flavor that isn’t overpowering. I really like that the product doesn’t have an overly thick or sticky consistency. It rinses out clean and doesn’t leave any residue on your teeth, or in your mouth. I would definitely buy it again.

I think I prefer the whitening version of it as that is what I was using before and is my major concern with my teeth, but this is very comparable other than that factor. I enjoyed the texture and the flavor, although I think it could be even stronger. It doesn’t lather excessively and leaves my teeth feeling clean.

My whole family likes it including my picky teenager. I will definitely purchase this in the future. They only issue we found is it's a little "watery". It's a space saver in my medicine cabinet because it can stand up as opposed to laying down like other toothpaste tube's. Overall I was very pleased with the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you're buying toothpaste, you usually have to pick a single main benefit, like Sensitivity OR Fresh Breath OR Cavity Protection. This Colgate Total Active Prevention toothpaste doesn't make you pick and choose, it includes all the major benefits you could want, including helping prevent against stains (I love my morning coffee and will never change!). It tastes great, which is important to me because I'm not a fan of all the mint flavors out there for teeth cleaning, but I'm happy to say this is a good one. I was also happy that this is a paste as I really prefer paste over gel. I'll be getting this one again.

I haven’t been to the dentist or used this product long term to see if it does prevent cavities, but I’m prone to getting cavities so this is a product I would buy for myself. I like the packaging of the product, and it’s a small thing but I never want a toothpaste with a removable cap again because it’s so annoying. Also a small pro, but it’s white and doesn’t seem to leave residue in my sink, so it’s made bathroom cleanup easier. The taste of the mint is also not overwhelmingly strong.

It would be fantastic to see a major company to begin to offer healthier options on their toothpaste. We do not need all the unnecessary chemicals in our health care products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Today I'm leaving my review for Colgate Total Toothpaste. I used this product for a total of 9 days in order to give it a proper assessment. Overall I would rate it a 3 out of 5 stars. I do feel that it makes my mouth feel clean, but it does have a fluoride concentration of 1450ppm, which personally I believe is a bit much. It also claims to keep fresh breath for up to 12 hours, which I believe it fell short of and only lasted a few hours. It doesn't contain anything for the support on sensitivity, which fortunately I don't have to deal with, but some may look for that. I walked away with the feeling that it does provide adequate ingredients to strengthen enamel and prevent decay, but if you're looking for something that leaves long lasting freshness and supports sensitivity, this is not the product for you.

My previous experience was a basic toothpaste that always was messy and unpleasant. This one now has an updated design with the new flip cap. The mint flavor is strong but gives a good, crisp clean feeling. It may be too much for some people but it was a good experience for me
